dGenerate Films
Seems like they only sell DVDs for educational purposes and VOD for home viewing. Is this the first time
Oxhide has been made available?

Great to see Oxhide coming out, though this company looks more like a distributor distributing on DVD than a regular label. Still, at least you can buy this disc if you win the lottery.

Just to let you know, Oxhide is available via streaming on Indieflix.

And yes, dGenerate Films has primarily been distributing DVDs exclusively to educational institutions, but we will be making available select titles on home DVD in the next couple months. All of our titles are available via VOD on either Indieflix or Amazon however for $5 each.
If you're not familiar with us, we are a non-theatrical distributor focused on independent film from mainland China. None of our films are censored, most of our films have done extensive worldwide festival runs, all deal with contemporary China and represent a new wave of digital filmmakers, of which Liu Jiayin is one of the leading lights. Let us know if we can be of any assistance, look forward to your support! More info on us can be found at

I first taught this would be some Nazis film line.

Actually, when naming our company we definitely had in mind the Nazi reference. The Chinese government has used the same phrase to describe the underground filmmakers we distribute.
Michael, glad you enjoyed both Little Moth and Crime and Punishment. Two of my favorites of our catalog for sure.
