Hi.

I was looking at your silent classic collection, and as most of them seemd to be resently released, I wondered if anybody here had any experience with the quality of the discs and editions. Also, I just wondered what people generally thought about your company here on the forum ("They suck" or "fantastic editions.") Any information, really.

Best regards, etc.

These German silents (and it appears, lots of other things) are not properly licenced from the owners/rightsholders, and they do not use the best materials or restorations. Cornerstone claim these titles to be public domain.

Best avoided.

Thank you, Peerpee. That is the kind of input I am looking for.

Cornerstone Media continue their pillaging of the world's film history with a clearly illegal release of Orson Welles' CHIMES AT MIDNIGHT.

These clowns could do with a boycott by respectable places such as MovieMail (and all of us).
