Though there are a few others in the same vein that I believe haven't been released since the VHS days. Was So Dear to My Heart ever released?

Walt Disney Pictures titles without a Buena Vista US DVD release:

Song of the South (1946) - As said above: cold day in hell status
The Sign of Zorro (1960)
Nikki, Wild Dog of the North (1961) - DVD released by Anchor Bay only
Run, Cougar, Run! (1972)
One of Our Dinosaurs Is Missing (1975)
A Tale of Two Critters (1977)

Also:

Popeye (1980) - EDIT: Apparently still with Paramount in the US.
Dragonslayer (1981) - EDIT: Apparently still with Paramount in the US.

Even if any of these were in the cards, it still leaves 80+ titles in the deal. So there simply must be more titles from the ABC Pictures and Selznick libraries, or the deal may include a fair amount of TV movies.

None of the ABC Pictures titles interest you? The Last Valley (1970), Prizzi's Honor (1985), Silkwood (1985), Take the Money and Run (1969), They Shoot Horses Don't They? (1969)? That's where the real meat of this deal is gonna be.

And confirmation that no Walt Disney Pictures titles are in the deal. MisterLime:

"We don't have any, not even one titles from the actual Walt Disney library, so no Song of the South or any other unreleased features or cartoons. We also have no titles previously released on DVD under the BVHE banners (Buena Vista, Walt Disney, Touchstone, Hollywood, etc).

We have some TV movies in the deal, but I cannot confirm or deny anything at this time." Said here

So, the 11 unreleased T/HP titles I listed before aside, that ABC Pictures/Selznick library must include more than the ~50 titles online resources indicate, because I doubt "some TV movies" is 40+ TV movies.

If that's a potential than I'd assume Something Wicked This Way Comes would be up for grabs as well.

Agreed--it's not actually a very good film, and I was half kidding. But I'd still like to see a good release of it!

It's at least better than The Serpent's Egg, I think.

I would agree with that as well, but then again it doesn't get much worse than that for Bergman (From the Life of Marionettes comes closest)

Just as an FYI when these mystery deals come up, it's never going to be Universal if its a big batch of titles. Current management has a policy to only do a title by title deal for anything. So until the people in charge or something else changes, you'll continue to see a lot of that library unlicensed by anyone but people willing to get that down in the weeds (Criterion, Shout, etc.)

Interesting. That's probably the hold up for any Universal-Kino talk. Kino seems to like package groups for the most part, because it allows the security of "bigger" titles to off balance lower sellers.
