It was probably very close to selling out anyway, given the smaller print run. It now has. DEATH CARRIES A CANE Blu-ray was sold out before the sale begun.

What surprised me is the THE PERFUME OF THE LADY IN BLACK - 4K UHD LE selling out, given the much larger print run. COLD EYES OF FEAR - 4K UHD LE was around for a much longer period. It still is, in fact!

I'm not doing very well here after missing LA TERRA TREMA from Radiance's sale last week.

They confirmed on X that THE PERFUME OF THE LADY IN BLACK - 4K UHD LE did sell out from them.

I really wish I had every single Rollin LE release, but I can't justify that kind of spend. Or that kind of rolling pin from LQ! (she likes them too, for what it's worth - how could you not)

I ordered 3 titles yesterday, which I now notice are already sitting on my shelf from a previous sale. Two of them not in wrapping, I seem to have played them at some point.

And now it is back after I bought it for a premium elsewhere…

Rarewaves have all the older ones in their 2 for £30 and you still can get an extra 10% off tonight with the code on their homepage.

So did I - £19.18 in cash + £10 in Points from Rarewaves. I also paid £16.99 each, in previous Powerhouse sales, for all those old UHDs now in the Rarewaves "2 for £30" offer (less another 10% during their sales). Oh well, it's only money. :) :(

Yeah, I'd expect the UHDs that were £19.99 this sale to be £16.99 next if they still are in decent supply.

I started so maturely, just buying the more greatly discounted stuff with an order for just over £50, then went back and panic bought Death Walks with a more recent Rollins and a £10.99 title for another order just over £50, before going back a third time for the restocked Lady with another more recent Rollins and another £10.99 release for just over £50 again. Hoping my more expensive Lady purchase is cancelled before dispatch.

I did wonder why I am buying the Rollins for £19.99 each, when they may eventually turn up on Rarewaves as 2 for £30 (or £27 with discount code), but hand was somewhat forced to get the free shipping. Probably would have been cheap going long on the Rollins and just paying a bit extra for the giallos now.

They put it down to "miscommunication" on Twitter.

US free shipping

#834 Post by fdm »

Well long story short I decided to try the free shipping option from the UK to the US and hope for the best. Powerhouse's Shipping Policy (not the FAQ) says
U.S. Orders / PDDP

All shipments to the United States are fulfilled under the Prepaid Duties and Delivery Paid (PDDP) service. Under this arrangement, all applicable import duties, taxes, and customs fees are calculated and paid at the time of purchase. As a result, customers will not be required to pay any additional fees upon delivery.
So this implies UPS (or fedex or whoever) are included, though may not be necessary as the order offers the choice of either the Royal Mail option (though at an additional cost of $49 (presumably the weight is below their 1999g (4.4-ish lbs) limit otherwise it might not even be offered?)) as well as the Free Tracked Shipping option. So we shall see which carrier brings it on over and etc etc for free.

For me in Canada, the "free" option has ended up being UPS the last few years.

I was thinking that was what was used, but it's been a while… Nobody in the US knows anything about UPS sticking you with extra charges?
