Don't know amazon's prices, but kino is the distributing these now, so these could end up in a kino sale for reasonable prices. One thing with some of the older titles is that when kino has reprinted them (assuming it's them that does the reprinting), they no longer have booklets. I don't know whether these new releases come with booklets at all.
I checked Kino's site--they have both up for preorder at $17.97 each--much better!

And potentially even better when kino has one of their bigger sales, if you want to wait a while.

Interesting, I forgot to mention I picked up the Godards as well, including
Hail Mary from Kino direct and they all came with booklets- though I think I bought them over the winter

I didn’t see it mentioned here but Cohen just put out a Jacques Deray double feature of Delon films, Le gang and Trois hommes à abattre

Trois hommes à abattre is watchable but so, so dumb. Like, I have never seen dumber hitmen in my life. These dudes try to off Delon by dunking him under water in the middle of a crowded beach. I'm talking surrounded by fifty witnesses-- not on the beach, but
in the water with them, as in right next to, behind, and on all sides of them. They also early on leave a witness alive for no reason even though the film later gets its pathetic jollies by offing literally every tertiary character as a way of showing how ruthless the conspiracy is. This total coy nihilism may have been amusing if there was a single braincell between all of the characters to buy it as anything but one more futile gesture on the part of filmmakers who have no clue how to make a movie like this, but that's a big no as is. There should be a law against this dumb French conspiracy movie getting a stateside release when the smart
I... comme Icare from the same era languishes without an English-friendly release

These are mostly Pathé releases in France and yeah, Trois hommes à abattre definitely was one of the dumbest of the bunch.

...and of course I just blind-bought that double-feature for $12.49 in the Kino Roctober sale happening now. Oh well. As long as it's less dumb than Diabolically Yours.

If it makes you feel better, had I delayed my last Kino order to now, I would've saved $29 + taxes.

Variety’s article on their major releases for 2022.
On the Yard is really fantastic news. The novel it's based on was republished for the first time in decades by the New York Review of Books' publishing arm not too long ago as well. It's interesting to note that John Heard was directed in separate feature films by a married couple (Joan Micklin and Raphael Silver).
I really hope some of the more neglected Merchant Ivory titles like
In Custody are on the docket as well.

I regret to proclaim that the other half of the Delon/Deray double feature, Le gang, is to gangster movies what Delon's wig is to cool hairstyles

The article mentions that they seemingly have the rights to Patrice Leconte's Monsieur Hire so hopefully that's one of the 2022 releases!

Does anyone have the Cohen Collection's Daughters of the Dust Blu-ray? I just got it and for some reason I can't get to the feature film. When I'm on the menu, the ONLY visible and selectable option is "EXTRAS" and nothing else. If I select "EXTRAS," I can't even backtrack to the top menu. If I let the menu play, it just loops the same clip reel over and over.

Sounds like the same problem some early Twilight Time discs had on certain players

If it's player-related, that might help. I have another player, but I won't have access to it until next month.

It was on certain players for sure. You might try Googling it, I feel like the Blu-ray forums talked about it. I ran into it on my old modded player but I don’t remember what model I was using then

Apparently Cohen's release of Le retour de Martin Guerre is a director's cut that removes at least ten minutes of footage from previous releases of the film. Anyone have any more info?

During the Wexner Center discussion last night, Tim Lanza of Cohen mentioned that although James Ivory was "curmudgeonly" at times, they were hopeful that a Merchant-Ivory boxset could happen. He did not formally announce this as forthcoming or already in the works.
Criterion's Lee Klein was in the same QandA panel and Klein said how, in his opinion, boxsets are a "nightmare" and are "five times the amount of work." Klein said that he himself nearly resigned from Criterion over the long struggle to make the Fellini boxset come to fruition.

I can see the Fellini set being a nightmare, as it has nearly as many licensors as films. A Merchant-Ivory set wouldn't have those issues as they share the same licensor.
Any UHD talk?

Cohen's Lanza did not really discuss about UHD titles from Cohen or anyone else. He did not specifically talk about anything forthcoming titles at all and most of his comments on home-media were about working with Silver's daughter and son-in-law to get Hester Street ready for release.

Thanks. I meant UHD talk in general (frankly I'm not sure Cohen has anything that would be sell enough to justify the costs of a UHD release.)

Did any of the Arbelos, Criterion, or Cohem team members reveal any upcoming titles for their respective labels?
