Of course Happy Days is the most famous role, but she did also turn up in notorious and weird Roger Corman-produced Galaxy of Terror (NSFW) in the early 1980s too (part of that run of films reusing the Battle Beyond The Stars stock footage, thereby melding Star Wars and Alien influences together!) as a member of the crew plagued by hallucinations of their deepest fears and then as one of the returned zombies throwing the last survivor around at the climax!

Daliah Lavi

Like the press has noted, she's probably best known for being in Casino Royale and The Silencers. But I think her part in Bava's The Whip and the Body is her most noteworthy.

Jesus, he must've been barely 40. I know it happens - Martin Sheen had a heart attack even before then - but still you don't expect a stroke that young from someone who doesn't look like he's in bad shape.

Was looking forward to seeing them live at Primavera Sound four weeks from now. Will be an unusual gig, if they don't cancel it.

Someone I am always happy to see pop up on screen.

His Columbo outing is a little atypical. Instead of his usual tough guy, he's kind of a good natured dope who is used as a patsy by the Dick Van Dyke character (easily the most despicable role I can remember DVV playing. He's obviously having a ball.)

I totally agree with you on that role in Columbo! It was great to see him so against his usual type and he does a very convincing job.

****One other amazing Columbo cameo against type is George C Scott playing a mild mannered, spectacled tv broadcast engineer showing him how the various controls work in an episode that starred GCS's wife. I had to actually re-wind and watch it a couple of times to believe it was him.

Variety obit - this is just awful. Dogtooth is one of the best films of the last 10 years largely due to the convincing and empathic lead performances of Tsoni and Angeliki Papoulia.

Didn't realize this until now, but he played the same character in a number of Tarantino/Rodriguez films

Also, two characters in Kill Bill itself! Despite Smith's seemingly very sincere love of Parks (and Tarantino's love of Red State), it's a shame he couldn't find a more talented director to write films for him to lead in these latter years than Smith.
