Has there been a new restoration of Bell, Book and Candle? It desperately needs one (ideally in 4K)

It was re-released by Sony in 2020 and still in print, so I imagine the next time it gets upgraded it'll be a UHD.

No announcement today but the Kino Insider just wrote this:
We're finalizing a 40 new-film deal with StudioCanal, plus 6 renewals. I will try to share more info later. We're also close to signing a 6-film deal with Gaumont, which will potentially include another 4-film noir set.

A little surprised that Criterion didn't pick this up & pair it with Smithereens, but maybe they'll pick up Madonna:Truth Or Dare and we'll still get a chance yet for a Madonna Criterion closet video.

Yeah, I really thought Criterion would have done this though Kino did the bd a while back.

Problem is that Kino have BD rights, so Criterion would’ve been stuck with a 4K-only release. Sadly it’s the same situation in the UK with Final Cut having the rights. Hopefully there’s a label like Radiance or BFI that doesn’t mind this and licenses the 4K rights.

I am actually a bit surprised because I figured KLSC would have gone for Le gitan due to their recent Giovanni releases (Kino Insider previously said they were releasing one of these two titles)

Malfeasance: a set of four films by Yves Boisset coming in March.
https://kinolorber.com/product/malfeasa ... n-leve-toi

Le saut de l'ange

I’ve only seen Espion, lève-toi from that set, but I’ve also seen two of the other Boisset films KLSC released, Un conde and L’attentat, and didn’t really like any of them. Don’t even remember much more about them than that!

For those who don’t want to spend $90, KLSC will be releasing A Bridge Too Far on UHD/Blu. Unfortunately it doesn’t carry over the copious extras outside of one of the commentary tracks

From our Catherine Deneuve list project, domino hated it, but Aunt Peg liked it. Those are the only two mentions of this film on this entire forum!

very intrigued by Serge Gainsbourg doing the music, but domino and Letterboxd's opinions on it seem to indicate I'd probably loathe it. love Deneuve though so maybe someday I'll check into it

What sucks is that Aurel did a great underseen film with Anna Karina and Michel Piccoli a few years before this called De l’amour that would be a wonderful release
