Great to see such support for 'Dead Man', but I'm puzzled by the lack of high rankings for 'Short Cuts'

Well, I got Tatiana as soon as it came out on DVD in Finland (which is quite a long time ago now).

Too bad you ignored my repeated recommendations for Only Yesterday over the course of the past 7 years or so. ;~}

It was hard deciding on what ZY film to put into my top 10.

well I'm not a huge fan of animation, as a rule, so when it comes to choosing between live action or animation, I usually settle on the former.

It's basically an installation piece. I don't know what you mean by "work as a movie." It's a single frame of blue so it's not really cinematic per se.

say, I suppose I'll play the bottom ten game as well (I think all I have time for until I submit my list is to rewatch a couple old favorites that are sliding a little too low for comfort at the moment):

41. A Brighter Summer Day (I can't wait to see this not on my computer/without Mandarin subtitles/in a transfer that does justice to all the outdoor night scenes, and lord this film has plenty of those)
42. Terminator 2: Judgment Day
43. Barton Fink
44. Lamerica
45. To Sleep with Anger
46. Showgirls
47. Freeway
48. All About My Mother
49. Jackie Brown
50. The Celebration

(Jesus, looks like I stumbled in on a premature ejaculation circle jerk - keep something in reserve for the after-match party, you guys!)

Oh well, ten more lists in overnight and the big surprise is that there are no really major changes in the top ten, with everything consolidating, including the unlikely ones. Two clear frontrunners (that could still easily reverse positions), then a very odd foursome (maybe even a fivesome) that could end up in any order, then there's quite a step down to the next tier.

At this stage, it looks like there will be plenty of surprise exclusions from the top 100.

Time is running out for submissions, so don't miss out and forever regret the absence of Troll 2!

you've two that made my bubbling under list, and Lamerica which slipped under the radar when I was doing my 'power search' on IMDb
(not much to choose between it and 'Così ridevano')

There was a decent (but only decent) Japanese DVD -- with no subtitles. So far as I can tell, no subbing script has ever surfaced at any of the usual sites. Luckily large chunks of this have no (or little) dialogue. Still, subs would be helpful (especially since this uses Kansai dialect to a considerable extent).

Some pictures here -- as a consolation prize.

I can do a barebones narration for visitors who watch my copy (with me), but am not up to the task of providing full subtitles for Somai's Ohikkoshi. It is a shame that this has never gotten a subbed release. (The Japan Foundation does -- or did -- have a subbed print, but that doesn't help much).
