It's a little of both. Carolco produced it and intended to release it through Seven Arts, their joint distribution venture with New Line. But Carolco couldn't keep it going and New Line handled the theatrical release themselves. The video rights stayed with Live, which at the time was majority-owned by Carolco.

Indicator is as good as if not better than Criterion so I'm not sure why you'd wait, especially since the Indicator is a limited edition that won't be around much longer

You are right, Swo. The few region free indicator releases I own are absolute bang ups. But I'm going for a region free player soon so I'm finalizing my cart right now!

Anybody else want to take part in a U.S. group buy? I believe we're 90 pounds (with no VAT) short.

wow. I placed my order a couple hours before this post and had a subtotal of 97 pounds no VAT.

However my main post was to say this is my first time participating and ordering directly from Indicator and I am very, very happy. 8 titles altogether with one being a box set rounding out to $150 after shipping. A couple bucks more if a VISA international charge gets placed as well but still I got all LE's for what I feel is a great deal. Even comparing to the criterion flash sale if I were to get the same amount of films with one being a box set averaging out to a $50 sale price plus state sales tax I would have paid a little over $200. It's basically like I got 2 1/2 - 3 films worth of savings.

Just for kicks here's what I got:

- the effect of gamma rays...
- secret ceremony
- endless night
- light sleeper
- the snake pit
- twentieth century
- the criminal code
- william castle vol. 2

feels damn good.

The latest sale has been extended to midday GMT on Monday 1 November.

Powerhouse has also formally confirmed that they are now fully IOSS registered. VAT is automatically disclosed at the checkout stage, meaning that there should be no unexpected import charges on deliveries to customers within the EU.

I received my order today, and can confirm it cleared all the EU hurdles. No extra VAT, no £6.50 Swedish customs charge. If Powerhouse started selling discs from one or two of the smaller UK labels, they could easily take over some of the export business from Arrow.

My order of Noir Vol 2 and Things Change arrived. Packaging was impeccable as always. The only downside is the £18 shipping to the US. It's even more disappointing when my two Arrow orders which I placed a few days later got here first by several days on a lower shipping rate. I'd honestly prefer being given the choice for a lower rate and hence slower shipping than being tied into that one rate. I totally realise these are first world problems but the set shipping rate does make me a little more hesitant to order directly, especially when I tend to want only two or three titles and would rather not buy extra titles just to make the shipping charge more palatable. Maybe Hammer Vol 6 sells out soon enough that a standard edition of Captain Clegg is available by the time the next sale rolls around so I can bundle it with Noir Vol 3 and the standard edition of Taste of Fear (and possibly the LE of Town on Trial if it's not OOP by then) plus any new February/March releases I might not want to wait on.

I have a three-product order that went to Chicago, then Indianapolis, then Columbus, and now Memphis. I live in Chicago!

Yes. I ordered 8 titles with one being a box set and it's still unfulfilled. I figured since it's my first time ordering from there during their big time of the year sale there would be a waiting period but I was going to ask if this was normal for international orders (I'm in the U.S.)

Did you include any pre-orders in your order?

Nope and I got in Twentieth Century before it went out of stock and they put up a preorder for the LE restock.

Same here. Although last time I ordered during a flash sale it didn't ship for two weeks. At this point I'm glad I chose the one day delivery.

Deep Discount have several Indicator titles for $19.99 to $21.99

I was going to get the Mexican horrors as part of the UK April sale but at that price and figuring in Indicator's ridiculous shipping charges to the US, I'll get them now.

I’ll make a plug for The Triple Echo, which is the best film of the on-sale lot that I’ve seen, and the LE is on low stock alert per the last update

Anyone in the U.S. want to try a group buy? (The threshold would be £200, though I'm not sure how VAT and sale prices will or won't impact that number.)

I'm down for a group buy. I don't mind placing the order either. I'm really only going after the Noir sets I don't have (minus Bogart)
