I was going to chime in as well. Saw this in 35 earlier this year and the blue tint was not there, but it was definitely a little more muted than the Criterions. I still think the BFI basically looks pretty accurate.

Do Coin de Mire usually include English subtitles? Le ciel est à vous on Blu-Ray is a very attractive prospect

They usually don't. I don't think they ever have, though I might have missed the odd one.

My favourite recent purchase is
this Abel Ferrara collection, that came out last year. It includes
Ms .45,
Fear City and
China Girl, none of which I had seen before. It's always a gamble whether or not the subs can be removed on French releases, but here they are removable on the films themselves, though not on the special features, which includes the unrated version of
Fear City. All three discs have input from Brad Stevens, and there is also a good Ferrara interview on
Ms .45. Recommended!

Did Blaqout Films, France, cease operations?
This is what I found on the net:
https://boutique.blaqout.com/password - internet boutique has folded, redirecting to the boutique of distributor ESC Films.

They just closed their online store, the label itself is still around. They put out a few DVD-only releases this month, including Undine and Cuties.

Which reminds me, did they ever get around to their promised english-friendly reissue of the first Wakamatsu box set? Last time I checked (a few years ago I guess), the answer seemed to be no.

Spanish horror classic
El Bosque del Lobo / The Ancines Woods (Pedro Olea, 1970) has gotten quite an impressive
Blu-ray. According to the site the film and even some of the extras have English subtitles.

I’m curious about these, but it doesn’t seem like they can be shipped outside of Espana.
Are they really good? I love Lunas’
The Tit and the Moon,
Golden Balls, and
Jamon, Jamon, but I’m unfamiliar with his other work.

Qivitoq - The Mountain Hiker (Erik Balling, 1956), the first Danish film to be nominated for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film and shot on location in Greenland.
No Blu-ray available but a
DVD only. Don’t know where else to ask but does it have English subtitles?

I'm a native Dane, and I can confirm that the DVD indeed has English subtitles. It comes from a fine HD remaster, so it's really a shame that Nordisk only released it on DVD. They do this with many of their titles as the blu-ray market in Denmark is pretty much non-existing. Instead, one can stream their films in 1080p on their platforms, but then, of course, it's often compressed to death and grain looks like a smudge of death. Still better than DVD, though, I think. I can check out some of the streaming services as to whether English subs are provided, if you're interested?

Thank you for confirming, ordered the DVD from CDON which was cheap fortunately. Also took the Swedish bonkers sci-fi classic
Rymdinvasion I Lappland (1959) with a very hairy monster from outer space.

Seems like a new boutique label is about to pop up:
Treasured Films in the UK.
Their first release is planned for March 2023 and is Antonio Margheriti's
The Last Hunter(1980).
They're hitting all the right notes :
- a new restoration (from the original camera negative)
- high quality encoding/authoring (Fidelity in Motion)
- an audio commentary (in this case, by Nathaniel Thompson, Eugenio Ercolani and Troy Howarth)
- new exclusive interviews
- a feature length documentary
- a booklet (60 pages)
- exclusive artwork by Graham Humphries
- a rigid slipcase
- a reversible cover with the original Italian name and poster
There isn't much info out there yet. All I could find is:
- this episode of the Cult Cinema Cast podcast in which Graeme Lloyd, the label's founder (and, if I understand right, also the owner of
https://www.filmtreasures.co.uk), discusses this first release and the following one (Jeff Lieberman's
Satan's Little Helper, 2004)
- the release description on BR.com:

Nobody knows so far. I'd wait until it physically materialises.
