Diary is a carbon copy of this.
Although i think Blair Witch is a far better film than Diary, i don't not see that much similarity between the two films beyond the POV camera gimmick.

The characters' footage in Blair Witch only adds to the Blair Witch mythology within the film's universe and because it doesn't actually show the so called Blair Witch, it doesn't really add that much to what traditional media has covered with the myth in the film. (Even the characters in cannibal holocaust shot footage that the media did not cover)

Whereas the characters' footage in Diary proves the existence and scale of the zombie problem (something that the traditional media in the film were playing down or not showing).

Umm, does anyone SERIOUSLY think that the MSM (or, my preferred term, enemedia) would NOT cover a zombie eruption thang? Please--there would be a Zombie reality show ("Real Undeath") on CBS hosted by Katie Couric within days.

But more importantly, would it matter if they didn't?

So what is the "issue"?

Some of the 24 hours "news" shows would say that it's just the libral media spreading its agenda.
