I just added a Seven Samurai re-made from a high resolution scan and Tokyo Olympiad ditto as per your request. You have no idea how much trouble I had to go trough to do Tokyo Olympiad, it was a nightmare and I'm not even sure if you gonna like it, but I tried my best. Next one will be 8½ as per request. Thanks for the nice words on TOB, but it really was bjeggert82's vision that had me do it right away, so I will have to thank him/her for that!

I'm wondering too, but this is good timing because I 100% forgot to bring the Masculin Femine postcard to my girlfriend's to scan. I'll do it next week, sorry.

I was wondering what happend with that - good you remembered.

I use free hosting and they are very unreliable. I'm awaiting their answer and should be online again later today. I might spend the money upgrading to a "real" .com site anytime soon though.

I see. I figured it was something along those lines.

Also, wow Tokyo Olympiad and 8 1/2 look super good! That really makes me want to see Tokyo Olympiad for some reason.

(Ps, I should have the MF card either tonight or tomorrow)

Thanks for the kind words, never been called God before. I'm now totally motivated to continue and will try and make as many as possible per week until every single spine is up and running. Just added 221 - Ikiru as per request - enjoy!

Remember the new site is: Criterion Dungeon

Loved your screenshot Kristoffer4!

You should add some kind of way to jump to each wallpaper, especially if you're aspiring to have a wallpaper of every single spine. Just assign a simple identifier to each wallpaper, like this:

Code: Select all

<img id="fists" height="388" alt="1280 X 1024" src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v471/hammock/Criterion%20Collection/Wall/0333-FistsInThePocketSmall.jpg" width="485" border="0">
And include a list of links to each id at the top of the page, like this:

Code: Select all

<a href="#fists">#333: Fists in the Pocket</a>
And you're all done.

Also, the mark-up on your site is a bit heavy ... I could help you trim it up a bit, if you're interested. Leaner markup equals smaller filesize which means lower bandwidth usage and snappier pages.[/code]

And here is an idea:
An alternativ cover and desktop for Alphaville-I love the film, but I don't think the CC cover is any good.
:(
But if you do it- :D

Added 180 & 181 - I Am Curious (Yellow + Blue)

Thanks for the tips on making the site easier to load etc. I'm total noob in this field and only barely managed to get the site done in Frontpage (please don't laugh). I am currently working on a new structure on the wallpaper section but will continue with the old structure until finished.

Ben45 wrote:Hey I have a few wallpaper requests if you find the time:
137 Notorious
175 Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas
199 Schizopolis
224 The Pickup on South Street

Any of those would make me a very happy camper
A very fine selection and they have all been added my "to do" list!

Actually, in addition to The Rules of the Game, I'd like to add Bob le Flambeur and Le Cercle Rouge. Make em and I'll forever be in your debt. Oh and your excellent Throne of Blood wallpaper currently adorns my desktop. Hey there ya go, more Kurosawa too!
