I'm still waiting with anticipation for Saint Jack. And looking forward to A Different Story - really curious to revisit the film are 40 years.

next month you will see the BluRay release of SAINT JACK! Jack Flowers (Ben Gazzara, Husbands, Road House, Sicilian Connection ) is a street savvy American living in Singapore. And like all Americans, Jack has a dream... to open the best whorehouse in Singapore. Of course a whorehouse doesn't come easy. It takes a lot of moves and a lot of hustle. But as Jack always says "People make love for so many crazy reasons... why shouldn't money be one of them"? Two of the film’s best features are the terrific cinematography by the great Robby Müller ( Breaking the Waves ) and the top-notch cast that includes Denholm Elliott (Raiders of the Lost Ark ), Joss Ackland ( Lethal Weapon 2 ) and James Bond, 007 George Lazenby ( On Her Majesty’s Secret Service ). Legendary filmmaker Peter Bogdanovich ( Targets, Paper Moon ) co-starred, directed and co-wrote the screenplay with Howard Sackler ( Killer’s Kiss ) and Paul Theroux ( The Mosquito Coast ) – based on the novel by Theroux. Produced by the great Roger Corman ( X: The Man with the X-Ray Eyes ).. Now see it for the first time in 16x9 widescreen from a brand new HD master from the original negatvies!

Has somebody been putting off tuning their sense of loss? ;-)

Thanks for the heads-up, I've been wondering when someone would start selling it!

EDIT: I'm not seeing it. Link?

Jesus, it's not there anymore. But it was, both on their home page and under the Code Red/Scorpion titles, with 46 copies in stock. I even placed my order. I'm sure it'll go back up soon. Neither the Ronin site or Screen Archives had the link live yet.

Back in March, they announced a Blu-Ray of Aloha , Bobby and Rose to come out this year. Has there been any details or news about it since? I looked online and came empty handed.

Given this a big get, I'm assuming this is one of the titles Kino Lorber will distribute

Can’t wait!

The Church was one of the first Italian horror films I discovered so many years ago. While I didn’t age well in my mind based on a viewing many years later, it still has a special place in my heart.

A new remaster of Greaser's Palace coming to Blu-Ray in May. The first Robert Downey Sr. film to make it to Blu-Ray, I think? Hopefully not the last.

So, I heard good things about the restorations of Opera ad The Sect. They state that 45 hours of colour correction has been applied. Is 45 hours that much? One week, full-time? How many people work on such a restoration?

Anyway, seems to be working so far...

The 2-disc limited edition of The Sect is on sale at Roninflix for $29.99 until Thursday, when the price goes up to $34.99.

Sales of the 2-disc version of The Sect have been halted due to an audio problem
We have discovered there may be an audio issue with the two disc version of THE SECT. It appears a technical problem during the replication process has incorrectly flagged the 2.0 audio tracks as 5.1 so we have asked Ronin and Diabolik to halt sales until the issue is locked down and resolved.

I'm in the same boat, as my copy is set to arrive tomorrow. I guess I'm just happy that this is Walter Olsen and not his crazy pants brother Bill, so this mistake is getting fixed

The limited slipcover version of the remastered The House on Sorority Row Blu-ray is down to a few hundred copies at Ronin Flix and they are taking orders for the limited slipcover version of the remastered Death Ship Blu-ray. I believe standard releases of both of these are coming out at a later date.
