I get that logic to some minor degree, but since he always wanted it to be one movie and was pressured by Weinstein et al. to break it up as he did, I see no reason why he wouldn't want to restore a four hour experience for home viewers the way he intended it to be consumed. After all, the man collects celluloid, wants to start a blu-ray label, and is all about home screenings

When did Tarantino say he wanted to start a blu-ray label?

He was talking with Sony about selecting and presenting some of their titles. And, in typical Tarantino fashion, he just wants to do scans of theatrical prints.

was there even an actual whole bloody affair cut? I had read over the years that what he screened at New Beverly was more or less a quick slap together and not whatever his idea of what the Whole Bloody Affair would be. The only thing confirmed I had heard was the extended/colorized Blue Leaves fight. I had heard he also extended the anime sequence? can anyone actually confirm if that is true at least?

I genuinely hope he doesn't follow through on that cut, as removing the cliffhanger from the end of Vol 1 would be a tragedy - the song in that scene holds very deep significance to me and that's it's only usage in a movie that I've ever seen, and he did a perfect job with it. I'm hoping he keeps it in. it's one of the better moments in his filmography for me, and I haven't watched the film in a very long time

These integrated cut scenes were circulating 15+ years ago from the Japanese cut. The added gore to the Blue Leaves fight is terrific and inventive

The Mist should be the only one. They are all from the era of 2K DI, so there is less incentive to put them on a 4K disc I suppose.

Snowpiercer is another TWC title that Lionsgate has released on UHD (only available as an Amazon exclusive steelbook.)

Mifunefan found artwork and specs for a 4K of the 2010 The Crazies which I remember as a pretty decent film (not seen the Romero original) with Timothy Oliphant in his patented sheriff role. What's interesting is that earlier today there was also a blog post on Lionsgate Limited for The Crazies and a separate one for May (2002) with Angela Bettis. So hopefully that's coming too with a new scan.

Vestron are releasing All of Me on 17 June.

Steve Martin's best film and performance me thinks.

Question: what are the changes of an non US release of the film on Blu Ray? It seems to have had a very all over the places release internationally in cinemas and DVD so no idea who owns the UK or Australian rights now. Anyone have a inkling of the UK or Australian rights situation?

About time. This film has only existed in absolute dogshit presentations, and I was wondering if it had been sitting in some legal limbo hell.

eBay scalpers and sending to a US border pick-up address aside, any Canadians know how to get copies of these Lionsgate Limited or any going forward Vestron Video discs? Because some fucking idiot within that company has whimsically decided Canadians can no longer have access to their product, and even my most terrific Toronto store, Bay Street Video, who diligently work hard to get everything, can’t figure it out.

Whether this is tariff related or not, this former Canadian company will no longer ship to Canada.

I doubt it is tariff related. More likely it is just that the people in charge of Lionsgate's home video department are idiots.

A 4K of it would be nice, but how about releasing some films in HD that never even had decent DVD releases like Metroland?

This is probably my #1 LG title. Bernard Rose even recorded a commentary that you can listen as a podcast episode. The 35mm print that has screened in recent years is a little longer than the UK disc
