I bet that designer's therapist is pretty thrilled with us as well.

As long as they don't see the "fantasize what Tamara looks like" part of the On Five thread, I think we're safe.

She's also sporting the hat on the Criterion store site, if that image is still there.

I'd say. More importantly, Susan Arosteguy, Johanna Schiller, and Peter Becker are also on Facebook. I'd say thanking them personally for their contributions would be appropriate. Tamara just answers phones and wears hats.

And we are full steam ahead. I wonder how many people are busy at work signing up on facebook right now, just to ogle Tamara's profile.

At least she was wise enough to limit viewing of her full profile to friends only.

So, can we expect an announcement this week? Hopefully this is going to be a big week with a surprise release or two, and not just a bunch of Blu-Rays plus Bottle Rocket and Chungking Express standard releases.

I'm still holding out a glimmer of hope that the rumored Darjeeling Limited release will be coming this month, despite the fact that it's a Fox film. There has to be some reason why Wes Anderson didn't record a commentary for the original release, and why it had no extras to speak of. And I don't even like that film very much, it would just be nice to see.

Yeah, I hope Criterion releases a film with an already legitimate edition.

But seriously, that would be terrible. Half of the forum would be making long posts with lots of exclamation points.

Yeah, God forbid people get excited. That would be horrible.

Wes Anderson's films are good business for Criterion. I like Criterion. Wes Anderson films on Criterion therefore = good.

I meant that they would be angry. I like Wes Anderson too, but I don't see any reason why Criterion should bother with his latest film. I tend to prefer to see more movies released with no edition whatsoever than see one re-released because it didn't have a commentary or something.

Wasn't there an interview where Anderson said Fox had rights to the film for a year and then he was going to sell them to Criterion? It's possible it was one of the internet's lies, but doesn't sound completely ridiculous either.

A member also met Jason Schwartzman at the Arbor Hills Cinema here in Austin and was reportedly told that Criterion was working on extras for it.

Would that be a year from theatrical release, or a year from DVD release? While DVD release would make more sense as far as that type of rights issue goes, it would certainly also make a lot of sense to release Bottle Rocket and Darjeeling on the same day... and if that day falls near the end of October, it would align with the time frame in which the film came out in theaters last year.

Oh my God, another revision. This has to be a record.

Ugh, is there an intern designing this thing? Instead of revising, they need to start this over from scratch.
