Really hoping for a Jonny Greenwood surprise there, but why would anything nice ever happen?

I'll give Billie Eilish credit - as Bond theme songs go, that one's better than most.
Ooh, a 50th anniversary Godfather tribute! Can't wait to see it reduced to a minute and a half of dialogue-free one-second clips!

"Live and Let Die" is probably the only Bond song I ever put on, and even that's a little ridiculous (albeit knowingly so).

"A View to a Kill" is just stunning. Gorgeous song, and the synergy between Duran Duran/John Barry on it is perfect

Not to cast aspersions on anyone in particular, but you'd have to be a real sucker not to assume that was staged until proven otherwise.

I don’t think they’d stage a bit that involved Will Smith saying “fucking” at the top of his lungs twice.

This is incredible. Mr Nice Guy “overdue” an Oscar is about to walk up to collect his Best Actor trophy to a dead silent audience

I just don’t get what the point of the joke would be, other than playing into harmful stereotypes on impulsively aggressive black males? I know the Oscars are tone-deaf on comedy, but come on, people think through some of these things

I can still hum most of that. (My family had a CD of James Bond themes up to and including
License to Kill when I was growing up.) I've never gotten into Duran Duran though. "Hungry Like the Wolf" is sort of an exception - tuneful, quintessential mid-'80s pop, but it also feels kind of bloodless.
Also, I completely missed Will Smith. I guess I picked the absolute worst moment to take out the trash.
