I suspect we'll know the last one pretty soon.
I hope there is a new restoration of Rio Grande though.

EDIT : I thought there were 4 titles but actually, it's only 3 so here we are.

Very happy with Kwaidan, which I've been occasionally asking about for years and they did say a couple of times that's the one Japanese title they'd hope to one day upgrade. I love Kobayashi so that's an immediate pre-order from me!

Also pretty happy with Rio Grande, after asking for Republic titles for a while as well. I'd have hoped they could've got Nick Ray's Johnny Guitar by now but for some reason they didn't get it initially (obviously they'll keep trying, unless Indicator or Arrow beat them to it). Anyway, good to see some more Ford finally show up on UK Blu-ray, and since this is a Republic title I wonder if they'll also go for The Sun Shines Bright at some point.

I got confused between Rio Grande and Rio Bravo. I still need to buy the Westerns Collection it seems.

Here's what Eureka's site says about the presentation:
1080p presentation on Blu-ray, from a new transfer completed by Paramount’s preservation department in 2019

I'm just gonna say it--Zu Warriors is by far the best addition this month

Surprised to see it's not in the MoC line, considering the importance of Tsui Hark in Hong Kong/Chinese cinema history, even if the quality of his output has lessened. I think at some point Tsui was a master of cinema!

I don't really care that much considering how stacked the release is, though some people might be more likely to seek out films under the MoC banner than otherwise

I’ve been keeping my fingers crossed for ages that someone will finally do a decent restoration and release of Peking Opera Blues. Maybe not a great film, but a fun one.

And wow, I didn't realize the LE of Fistful of Dynamite had already sold out

I'd love to see all the 60s Mabuses get some attention one day...and the Jess Franco one of course!

David Kalat's book on Mabuse makes a very odd claim that Franco was once approached to play Peter Lorre in a biopic!

Specialists doesn't sound like one of the major spaghetti westerns. I hope they eventually release some of Corbucci's more well regarded westerns.

In for Throw Down. I appreciate the fact that MoC and 88 Films are consistently releasing these amazing films from HK, although I do wish that more Region A companies would step up and start releasing them as well.

I've seen it recently, and it's indeed not.

Throw Down is a welcome addition. I was going to suggest they should have gotten Drug War as well but after checking I see Studio Canal released it on DVD. Someone, SOMEONE, needs to restore The Mission.

They could potentially get Running Out of Time from their dealings with Fortune Star...

I believe Fortune Star have the rights to The Mission as well but for some reason that film hasn't been as well preserved as the rest, and is 21 years old now. Starting to think this is a lost cause to get it released in good shape today, not anytime soon.

The Mabuse title not getting a Steelbook release is frustrating after the other two.

Does Fortune Star have full rights to The Mission? I had been led to believe (by those reliably in the know) that numerous of the turn-of-the-century Milkyway films were in rights limbo, including that one—which is why they have all but disappeared in recent years.

You know, I could be wrong about Fortune Star. I'm pretty sure the DVD was released by them but that disc was a long time ago too so the rights situation could be in flux.

Fortune Star didn't exist when the DVD came out. Mei Ah released it, and while Fortune Star has reissued some ex-Mei Ah titles—including later Milkyway films co-produced by China Star, like Running Out of Time and Needing YouThe Mission was never among them. The only pre-China Star Milkyway titles that I know for sure are with Fortune Star are Beyond Hypothermia and The Odd One Dies.

Thanks for the correction, TFN. Clearly, I mistook Mei Ah for Fortune Star. Sorry to everyone for the mix up!
