Not the real Criterion Closet experience if you can't pick $300 worth of stuff for free and cram them in a branded Baggu.

Step up your game, Criterion:
The Tubi Van is a 1998 Plymouth Voyager with the TV/VCR/DVD combo upgrade, 4 storage tubs of VHS tapes, and a binder full of bootleg DVDs.

Fingers crossed he was there for an interview on a forthcoming 4K and BD of The Mission.

The chance is very slim (OCN missing). The best they can do is probably to scan a release print.

Wait,
according to this The Mission has been restored from the OCN.

That was the original announcement. The others were not restored in time to be screened along with the two Zhang films. In the case of The Mission, the restoration was stalled at the stage of material searching.

I do find it cool he grabbed that Early Kurosawa set, since Sanshiro Sugata inspired Throw Down

Chiu Fu-sheng has been going around misleading people that the restorations were finished and the festival didn't bother checking to see if the restorations were actually done? What a shitshow.

Oh god, I hadn't heard that. Thanks for clarifying.

Anna Kendrick's closet heist includes the phrase, "Thematically, that's my shit."

Amelia Dimoldenberg becomes the first person to mention
Spice World in the closet. Disappointed in the lack of cutaways.

Jarvis Cocker allows a number of plastic cases to interfere with his propensity for effusive hand gestures.

Cocker is being rather amusingly coy about Salo for someone who once
talked about his experience of watching Borowcyzk's The Beast (NSFW)!

Pamela Anderson in the closet, with an interesting comment about an upcoming film she is in being based on Bellocchio's Fists In The Pocket (and adapted by Efthimis Filippou, of most of the Yorgos Lanthimos films), which on looking it up on imdb is called "Rosebush Pruning" and also features Elle Fanning, Jamie Bell and the notorious DVD collector Tracy Letts amongst the cast!
(Someone should definitely take her up on that remake of Summertime she is interested in! Changing it up a little by having the beau do that fall into the canal instead, forcing Anderson to have to rescue him, Baywatch style!)

Juliette Binoche and Ralph Fiennes’s Closet Picks
It shattered my heart into pieces when Juliette Binoche picked up the Silent Naruse Eclipse set, said she'd never heard of the director, then put it back on the shelf.
