I hate coffin boxes! I really despise them! I want this set very badly as I'm a long time fan of spanish horror cinema but that price and that packaging are really putting me off!

I'm wondering if the first Blind Dead film is going to be out on it's own. Thats the only one that I'm interested in at all. I've heard that after the second sequel that it's pretty much down hill from there. I'm pretty suprised that BU didn't go all out for this set. For the price and lack of extras you would have thought that there would have been more to it. As for the coffin box, I think the best coffin box that I've seen and have is the Coffin Joe set. The box has held up to this day and still looks good.

Well, I would really like to have this set, but I already own the flipper disc from Anchor Bay of the first two. I figure that since Blue Underground releases are considerably discounted on Deep Discount DVD, I could wait for another 20% off sale and pick up the set then. Otherwise, I'll wait for the DVDbeaver review before I blow that much on an otherwise repetitive, however interesting, series box.

IMO, it would be a mistake if they did. It took a long time to make that Spaghetti Western set turn a profit, and a few of those titles weren't worth owning. By forcing people to buy the set to get a rare gem like Corbucci's Django, it raises the chance that people would take the risk in trying the entire set. Sure, this box is different in that they are all Amando's Dead films, but by offering the original by itself (at first, anyway) is just asking for people to pass over the others. Additionally, if you buy the first it negates any reason to purchase the set (and thus the first again) for the rest.

I actually believe the Anchor BayUK Hammer ox was a coffin as well, though I could be wrong.

Eh, if done right I guess they could look alright. But the picture above of this Blind Dead det does look a tad lame. For the price I was expectting something a little nicer, ala the Mondo Cane set.

Oh, and these will all be available on their own as well. Though I guess that last disc could be a boxset exclusive.

I sure wish they'd publish runtimes for these new uncut releases, so we could know which titles are longer than previous releases and by how much. They've put up an overall runtime for the set, 537 minutes of blind bloodsucking zombie action, but that's not much help.

Somehow I missed that a new DVD will have new interviews with both Ennio Morricone and Vittorio Storaro. Cafeman, as a casual fan of "Suspiria," I've always thought that "Bird" was a pretty weak film, but still, Argento has his fans and some really great people worked on this film: kudos to Blue Underground for their new DVD. It's important for me to add that I saw the VCI edition, which had very poor picture quality and some of the worst English dubbing I've ever seen, so hopefully Blue Underground's is a vast improvement, I'll definitely give the film a second chance in its original prestine state).

Does anybody know whatever happened to their release of "The Fifth Cord," also shot by Storaro?
