Thanks Dom.

Excuse my ugly formatting, but ignoring the extras (aside from a couple of feature length docs) what I can see online is:

Imprint: The Hitchcock Nine

* The Pleasure Garden (1925) – Worldwide Blu-ray debut!
* The Lodger (1927)
* The Ring (1927)
* Downhill (1927)
* The Farmer’s Wife (1928)
* Easy Virtue (1928)
* Champagne (1928)
* The Manxman (1929)
* Blackmail (1929)
Limited Edition 10-Disc Hardbox, including the 2021 feature documentary I Am Alfred Hitchcock.

——————————
Imprint: Hitchcock: The Early Years

* The Skin Game (1931)
* Rich and Strange (1931)
* Number Seventeen (1932)
* The Man Who Knew Too Much (1934)
* The 39 Steps (1935)

——————————
Kino: HITCHCOCK: BRITISH INTERNATIONAL PICTURES COLLECTION

The Ring
The Farmer’s Wife
Champagne
The Manxman
The Skin Game

—————————-
Studio Canal: The Beginning

The Ring
The Farmer’s Wife
Champagne
The Manxman
Blackmail Silent
Blackmail Sound
Juno and the Paycock
Murder!
The Skin Game
Rich and Strange
Number Seventeen
Becoming Hitchcock: The Legacy of Blackmail

—————————————-
Which means Easy Virtue and Pleasure Garden can only be had by getting the Hitchcock Nine Imprint set.

That plus the Studio Canal set plus a couple of CC blu’s gets you the lot.

Annoying for those of us who own a bunch of the Kino individual releases and the box set. But oh well..

Thanks for that, I completely missed that Easy Virtue wasn’t in the UK box as well

Has there been any buzz about whether Kino was releasing a more complete set with the newer restorations or if Criterion were doing a box when Kino's rights expire?

domino harvey wrote: Wed Jul 30, 2025 5:33 pm Is there any indication Orbit has already placed a bulk preorder for these? Generally it seemed like they close preorders a week or two before release day and then place an order with a couple extra copies to sell in addition to the preorders
I messaged Orbit and they said they sold out of their allocation, so anyone who preordered with them should be receiving it as it’s no longer available for purchase even though copies are still available to preorder on Imprint’s site

Are Imprint UK customs friendly (do they reship from inside the UK for example) and how is their packaging?

I wasn’t familiar with the show Cinema Then, Cinema Now which features on several titles in these sets. It’s a half hour NYC public broadcasting program with rotating academic guests, kind of like a less rigorously hosted version of In Our Time. Heres a playlist of some of their episodes plus a much longer playlist of the current iteration, City Cinematheque (all uploaded by the TV station to their channel)

Just wanted to note here that Easy Virtue is in fact available on a French blu ray, but it should be noted that out of the surviving Hitchcock silents, this is the only one that wasn't restored, I believe it's from a 16mm print. In any event, the blu ray looks significantly worse than all the others that have been released. All this means is that I purchased this expensive box set for 1 film, essentially. Oh well!

I don’t know how long it’s been included, but Imprint is charging a 10% tariff now for direct consumer orders

Imprint has now removed the tariff fee and added this notice
Please note we cannot guarantee what customs charges or tariffs may apply to your order at the time it is received into your country.

There's not much to restore! It was thought lost for ages, until a truncated 16mm print turned up - and that's all that we have.

It's one of youtube's real gems. There are great interviews with people like Myrna Loy, Anne Baxter, among others.

I'm not that familiar Imprint and their release cycle. What do you think the odds are that they'll do individual releases og Easy Virtue and The Pleasure Garden at a later date?

They have broken up less than a handful of individual titles. Given their wording in the set being strictly limited and reducing the pressing run, I’m skeptical but I’d love to be wrong. I hemmed and hawed on this but ultimately I couldn’t justify the cost of the box given that I already have Blus of all the titles save two and I don’t value this period of Hitchcock’s filmography enough to justify the great looking extras, which are still unlikely to be $170+ worth of value

Is The Alfred Hitchcock Hour any good? Curious where it ranks alongside Presents

Same strengths and weaknesses, from what I’ve seen. Doesn’t feel noticeably stretched for time like season four of Twilight Zone if that’s the concern. These caps look way better than the DVDs Madman put out. I plan to write up all the episodes in the thread for the show when I start watching/rewatching, if anyone wants to participate

Doesn't look like the Nine will be available to pre-order again. :(

Anyone else in the UK also stuck without a good way to order a copy?

The Movie Room has international shipping according to their website.

I just ordered the 9 from the link, although I'm in the US. Never heard of the site before but it seems legit. BEYOND10 gets you an extra 10% off.

Good find. Presumably the number left in stock indicates that they’ve already placed their preorder for the amount they were allotted (as Orbit, Atomic, and Diabolik did) and these are thus actually able to be fulfilled

EDIT I looked on the Blu-ray.com forums and I see some happy customers, if anyone needs some reassurance about the site

May I ask which one is shipped?
I pre-ordered Hitchcock 9 in July. I inquired by email earlier today and got a very generic answer about street date being in October, so nothing was shipped.
Thank you!
