I saw this at TIFF 06 and it was delightful. I need to see Maborosi and Distance.

Well -- you need the Japanese versions of both of these (unless the Korean versions are equally good).

Unfortunately, the US DVD was made at a point when there was no suitable source -- and the Japanese owner would not allow Milestone to create a high-quality inter-negative, even at Milestone's own cost!
