They said they were, yes, but I've not seen or heard anything since. Given how small an outfit they are, it could be a while still.

As for Spirits of Death, you may still be able to find it. The BD edition came out later than the DVD - I remember them asking if people would be too annoyed if they reissued it on blu-ray - when they had to repress due to a fire or something that took out some of their stock. I don't remember exactly what happened. Though of course this might have made it harder to find.

Since some of you were unsure about the sincerity of this announcement due to today's date: this is no April Fool's joke :)

The moment has finally come! We can finally announce a film that ranks among our greatest discoveries of the last few years and probably not many of you will have ever heard about it. We're talking about Grigori Kromanov's "HUKKUNUD ALPINISTI" HOTELL, also (un)known as DEAD MOUNTAINEER'S HOTEL, Estonia's very first sci-fi horror film from 1979! Potentially more familiar might be the novel of the same name the film is based on by the visionary Strugatskiy brothers who, anongst many other masterpieces, have penned Andrei Tarkowsky's milestone film STALKER as well as Aleksey German's HARD TO BE A GOD. The noir-clad jewel will be released on Blu-ray and DVD with English subtitles. More infos to come, as usual.

Wow, completely unexpected surprise. It has a great soundtrack by Sven Grünberg (example 1, example 2). Arvo Pärt was originally supposed to score it, but he was in process of being exiled and emigrating to Austria, and personally recommended Grünberg for the job.

However, since our catalog consists of films that are very dear to our heart and which we want to recommend to all of you, it actually fits quite perfectly: Because another childhood trauma that needs to be overcome was triggered by MOUNTAINS OF THE MOON from 1990. The career aspiration of an archeologist/explorer spawned by watching INDIANA JONES and similar fare was instantly destroyed when Bob Rafelson's fantastic adventure classic found its way into the VHS recorder -- a film which seems to have been unjustly forgotten shortly after its release. We still remember it vividly, however, and will therefore release it on Blu-ray.

From Facebook:
Camera Obscura wrote:We were yet again in the mood for something controversial, and so we decided to release one of the most controversial films of all time: We're talking about Dusan Makavejev's SWEET MOVIE from 1974, of course, in which he exhibits without any inhibition every conceivable kinkiness in a highly artistic fashion. We will restore the movie in 4K, and to make sure that every pore can be marveled at, we will not only release it on Blu-ray but also on UHD.

I am wondering if this might be something Radiance would be interested in releasing.
