It Lives By Night is one of the great forgotten entries in this series. Good set, though I'm still waiting impatiently for The Deadly Bees, Horror at Party Beach, and Squirm to close the book on releases I want to see from the SciFi era.

I think Diabolik might be my most anxiously awaited one at this point, both because it's a great episode, a great movie (which to me often makes the episode better,) and a really vital artifact in terms of the series.

I would love to see the Rhino sets put back in print by Shout! too, it's sad that Merlin's Shop of Mystical Wonders and The Girl in Gold Boots can't be easily purchased. Man, this show never declined in quality, did it?

I think Shout! has said that they'll put out the Rhino episodes they get the rights to at some point but they're emphasizing never-released ones right now. They've done a couple here and there, though.

I wonder if they'll do a repackage and put out the entirety of Season 1 now that all the titles from that season are in print. They'd probably be wise to do so and wring some more money out of those releases.

I'm guessing outside of individual and bonus releases from the Rhino era they're going to hold off until they finish putting out everything they can for the first time, which at the current rate should be less than five years.

The volume XXXI titles are:

203- JUNGLE GODDESS with short: THE PHANTOM CREEPS PT 1
510- THE PAINTED HILLS with short: BODY CARE AND GROOMING
912- THE SCREAMING SKULL with short: ROBOT RUMPUS
1012- SQUIRM with short: A CASE OF SPRING FEVER

YES! Two of my favorite unreleased SciFi-era episodes. Awesome that a set's coming with shorts on each episode, too.

The shorts discs are rapidly becoming obsolete, too. I'd say this is a solid 4/4 good episode set, but Squirm! is getting close to Diabolik! for late period ones I'm anxiously awaiting.

I don't know, the Shorts discs are awfully convenient

"The Screaming Skull" is the one that dares to graphically depict sometimes seeing peacocks and sometimes not seeing peacocks, correct? I haven't seen it in years but I remember it being consistently funny. I showed it to this pastor's daughter in high school who was so sheltered, she hadn't even seen a movie until she was 17, so it was hilariously frightening to her, even with the commentary. I think it was her first "horror" movie. The Gumby short at the beginning of that one is pretty classic, too. I appropriated the line "that squares my breasts" as a non-sequitur, but then I accidentally started using it around people who had no idea what I was talking about.

Hi - Long time MST3K fan, thought I would see what the consensus of the Vimeo MST3K episode experience is. I'm looking at the downloads at the following link:

http://vimeo.com/ondemand/mst3k" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I don't want to blind buy (not blind on the episode content, it's the delivery format I'm unclear on). Does anyone have any experience with this? What file formats are downloadable and what quality? Vimeo doesn't provide this information as far as I could find.

Volume XXXII Titles:

Hercules
Radar Secret Service
San Francisco International
Space Travelers

I always figured Space Travelers would be one of the last few they got- it's certainly among the biggest movies they ever did in the original series, with a name director and actual celebrities in it.

Hm - I don't mean to sound negative, but in terms of actual episode quality, that seems to be the weakest lineup yet. On the heels of XXXI, which is the strongest in a while. Can't complain. I can't believe there are 32 MST3K DVD sets. Amazing.

Well, it's definitely lacking in particular gems, but I don't remember any of the episodes being especially bad, either (though I get tired of the Hercules ones pretty fast.) San Francisco International Airport is a good solid one, too.

We're also only two episodes away from a complete season 5 (Teen Age Crime Wave and 12 to the Moon) and 35 episodes away from the complete series being released on home video, in one form or another- I'm really thankful Shout! picked these up, and impressed by the work they've been doing clearing some of the more difficult episodes. Though god knows if we'll ever get the other Godzilla one through.

I'm hoping once they hit a wall with episodes they can get rights to, they'll work on getting the Rhino releases back in circulation (Volumes 4 and 5, especially, I thought were very strong ones)

They been sneaking some of those out in individual discs and bonuses (the free double disc of Mitchell and The Brain that Wouldn't Die that came with one of the recent sets made me wish I'd sold my copies when they were going for $20-30 each), which I really like- that way I still get a complete series as soon as possible, and people who didn't get the older discs can catch up in both directions at once.

Hence my user name, I LOVE LOVE LOVE "Radar Secret Service"! Absolutely a four-star episode for me. "San Francisco International" is fantastic as well, as it hits that particular sweet spot of 70's TV-kitsch that I have deep in my bones.

The other two are pretty meh, but I'm still crazy excited for this set.

Volume XXXIII (33)

307- DADDY-O with short: ALPHABET ANTICS
313- EARTH VS. THE SPIDER with short: USING YOUR VOICE
522- TEEN-AGE CRIME WAVE
815- AGENT FOR H.A.R.M.

-------------------------
I haven't seen / heard of any of those. Which of those four might any recommend?
I do hope Shout starts redoing the Rhino sets sometime soon - as I can't imagine there's too much more they can get their hands on (like Godzilla or those problematic AIP films).

I tried organizing my sets by airdate (keeping them in boxes), but now it is even more difficult to find anything. I think I'll just go with alphabetical (as much as I like the idea of filling in the season gaps when a new set is announced). I assume everyone else has just chucked the boxes (and recycled the tin ones :P )?

Perhaps it's a personal thing, but I remember Daddy-o being masterful.
