All gone now, I assume. Didn't find it on their website. Too late...

Yeah, about 6 hours after Der Spieler pointed out they had more copies they were all sold. Hopefully DiabolikDVD can get some more copies in.

The colors though are a huge improvement.

I thought it looked OK on a 40-inch screen. "OK" in this case not meaning "correct, no problem" but more like "better than the DVD but slightly sub-par". It did look kind of noisy and detail was not very strong. I can imagine that on a larger screen these flaws would be even more apparent. I have to say I'm kind of disappointed. It's an upgrade over the DVD, but compared to Deep Red, Inferno and Bird with the Crystal Plumage, it pales.

They really need to fix their screen captures or at least add a disclaimer. That's excessively softened compared to what's actually on the disc.

BD.com have posted their
review of 'Cat':
The Cat O' Nine Tails may represent Blue Underground's finest release yet from a purely visual perspective. This 1080p Blu-ray transfer is marvelous from the top down, and aside from a few white speckles and a handful of early scenes where grain appears frozen in place rather than naturally swirly, it never misses a beat. Colors are fantastic, enjoying a fine period appearance, accentuating brighter shades of red and the like but also handling naturally warm and less pronounced hues with equal precision. Additionally, skin textures are natural and black levels are nicely inky and deep, never crushing out detail and refusing to unnaturally brighten up. Fine detail is strong, made all the better by the intact grain structure and fine sharpness and clarity the image enjoys. Facial and clothing textures are superb and environments positively sparkle, both exteriors and interiors alike. There's a natural depth to the image and it never goes soft. In short, Blue Underground has a winner in every regard with The Cat O' Nine Tails.

I hope they can get to Opera soon. They've been on an Argento rush and that's my favorite by him. Fingers crossed I suppose.

I agree. Still, I imagine that even if they had the go ahead, they wouldn't release Opera until the 2nd or 3rd quarter of next year.

They had plans to release either one or both of those Larry Cohen films this year, but they, obviously, got bumped.
Lustig expects to release them next year

Does anyone know if they have plans to release new titles again? I know Lustig basically said he was done, but a few things have came out since.

If I remember correctly Lustig said he mostly wants to release "cream of the crop" titles like Zombie now.Pity that planned dvd of High crime (Enzo G.Castellari,1973)never materialized.

I thought Lustig was into releasing things that weren't on DVD anywhere and a few years ago he just kinda said "I did what I wanted" and quit. Is he still in control of the company?
They've released some great films that I would have never known about, so it sad to see them just re-releasing things, surely
there's stuff that they could release new stuff as Region 1 and make more money then they are now....?

I read somewhere that they in fact went through a whole restoration of High Crime. I don't really get why they won't just release it? Castellari is very underrated I think, and High Crime was so much damn fun to watch growing up. I know he said in an interview that the previous Castellari releases were only somewhat profitable and had very average sales.
