Undoubtedly, they had to pick up both.

I wonder if Starz is still trying to sell Anchor Bay and Manga Entertainment.

Anchor Bay is going to release some Fox titles on Blu-ray next year. Weak list of titles, but, hopefully, they'll get to release Freaked on Blu-ray

I'd stand up for The Scout- it's maybe 2/3rds of a pretty great movie, and it's nice to have anything with a lead Albert Brooks performance.

I was skeptical, but that truly is the most beguiling list of upgrade titles ever

I'm pretty sure that Shout Factory has licensed most of the "good" Fox titles that Anchor Bay had previously released. Although, I don't think Shout has picked up The Entity.

I think Blue Underground's got that one.

Blue Underground doesn't have the rights to Suspiria any more. In 2007, the Weinstein Company bought the rights and announced that they were going to release in on the Dimension Extreme label. The release, obviously, never happened. So, they are either sitting on the title and waiting for the remake or it was one of the 200 films they gave away in 2010 to get out of debt.

What happened to the three extras that I'm sure were listed at some point? Meh, might cancel and hope that I can eventually snaffle the French release for a decent price at some point.

Would that be the:

Interview with Liliana Cavani, director and co-writer (18:21)
Interview with Italo Moscati, co-writer (11:36)
Interview with Charlotte Rampling (9:29)

that were on their DVD release? Odd that they wouldn't port them.

Yep, pretty lame to give this a barebones offering. Criterion still have the rights for the States, correct?

You can add Freaked Blu-ray to that list of Fox titles coming out on 8/6/13

I fully expect this not have the special features from the DVD, so you'll need to hang on to it (like the other Fox titles that Anchor Bay has released on Blu)

Two Anthony Quinn-starring epics, the Message and Lion of the Desert, are coming to Blu on November 12th. No word if the aspect ratio prob on the RB Lion of the Desert will be fixed in RA

Both those are good. Paints a really different picture of Akkad than his work on the Halloween series did.
