There are bundles (Rocha, Sang-soo, etc.) at the bottom of the shop page that pair releases and also seem to work with the discount code.

Dear Grasshopper:

Our forum just named La flor and Academy of Muses, respectively, the 14th and 181st best films of the last decade. Therefore, you should give them Blu-rays. Thank you for your consideration.

Great to see these on the list! LA FLOR is still up for blu-ray consideration. Nothing currently set for ACADEMY. But we've also got other blu announcements coming up in the weeks ahead.

More people also voted La flor as the best film of the decade than any other film, meaning it's officially the best. It's also the only film in the first third of the main list without a U.S. blu-ray release (yet)!

I knew it was coming but I didn't realize Grasshopper had a pre-order page up for Sicilia! and it does feature Costa's equally brilliant Where Does Your Hidden Smile Lie? as a supplement (no other supplements). I'm so glad they were able to pair the two for this release.

Grasshopper's next Blu-ray release (with absolutely no fanfare) is Sky Hopinka's Małni - Towards the Ocean, Towards the Shore, coming out on October 21. This is the film I most regret not being able to see in a theater last year, so I'm very happy it's at least getting the Blu treatment. Special features are scant, but they include my favorite of his short films, Fainting Spells.

In more baffling news, Grasshopper have seemingly acquired Sion Sono's Red Post on Escher Street--again, without any publicity whatsoever--but will only make it available in virtual cinemas (starting tomorrow), with a DVD release to follow on December 14.

I preordered Malni from Grasshopper last month based on how much I loved his short films (Fainting Spells is my favorite, too). I just watched it on the Criterion Channel yesterday and was not disappointed. It sort of threads a line through Dislocation Blues and the more abstract shorts stylistically. It is, as expected, beautiful both visually and aurally, and very moving as well.

Wonderful! I've been waiting for the Blu-ray before watching Days. I did rent Afternoon digitally, and I'm very glad they're including that here, along with many other lengthy extras. Can't wait for this one.

I guess I missed the fact that Nick Newman left but he just tweeted that this release was the final thing he worked on.

We just wanted to say thank you to everyone on here who took part and supported our holiday sale this year. It was also incredible to see all the interest in our DAYS release. We loved putting this set together and we definitely plan to do more such special editions going forward.

Thank you for having a sale! It seems like films with four-letter titles tend to do well. Words like:

Days
(La) Flor
(Academy of) Muse(s)

I'm just sayin'

A special edition of La Flor would make many of us very very happy.

Dead Souls is also a title with a four letter word.

Grasshopper, since others have reinitiated the subject, six months ago (upthread) you mentioned La Flor was still “up for blu-ray consideration” in contrast to the other titles mentioned, and just curious if its status has changed (aka, is there still hope)?

Hold up, I just got a shipping confirmation for Days, which wasn't supposed to be available for months. Did they perhaps just print the shipping label and are now going to sit on it until 1/25/22?

Me too! I ordered a few other things so figured they split the order, but maybe not …?

Really looking foward to seeing new Tsai, and especially grateful for the extra films.

I preordered Woman On the Beach/Hill of Freedom last December along with Right Now, Wrong Then. The shipping notification I received several days after ordering listed both titles, but only RN,WT actually shipped. The preorder didn’t ship until street date in February. Sorry to be a buzzkill.

Same here. I actually emailed Grasshopper because Woman on the Beach was listed on the packing slip but wasn't in the shipment. They clarified that it would ship separately closer to the street date.
