I can't help but imagine how much better these would look in colour. I do not think I have ever seen any colour promotional material for
Sherlock Jr. that really captures the film, but I know the art for
The General looks especially strong in colour.

I quite like the black and white, finding them quite striking. Are they Nick Wrigley's work?

Looks like Nick Wrigley, that's for sure. I assumed the black strip was a belly band but from the pics on Amazon it looks like it's more of a J-card/trough thing for it to sit in.
Love the artwork though. Perhaps they'll offer reversible artwork on each Amaray, a bit like Arrow's Marx Bros set? Have to say this is even more handsome than MoC's Keaton shorts set, and will go nicely next to it on my shelf. Can't wait for this one!

The problem with the Keaton shorts box is all the text tends to be misaligned on the outer hard box. It looks like the measurements were slightly off so when the printed cover was folded and stuck to the hard box, the text spills over to other faces. I've been through three or four boxes and all are like this.

It was all my design, but the bellyband was changed at the last minute without my consultation or notification – and it suffers from a number of problems – so this is not my package design anymore, unfortunately.

So the name of the set is "Buster Keaton: New 4K restorations"?

No, apparently it's "Buster Keaton: Three Films", but rather than write the words 'Three Films' instead it has the logos for each film - a little like Mr. Wrigley's designs for recent Indicator sets (Harryhausen).
You can see a pic of the actual box set without the card overlay thing
here.

Wow that Michael cover is awful but stoked for all of these releases.

Michael,
House and
Legend of the Mountain are immediate pre-orders...as soon as HMV or Eureka themselves list them, that is!
I actually don't mind the artwork for
Michael. Certainly seen worse from, say, Criterion or Arrow. I suppose they weren't happy with the previous DVD art just being a screenshot:
Anyway, they got the cover of the King Hu just right this time. Theatrical re-release poster on the regular Amaray artwork, original poster on a slipcover (as 88 Films and sometimes Arrow do).
And I like the MoC artwork for
House, though would be nice if they offered the Criterion choice on the reverse (like they did with
Seconds).

Guess they re-organized it so they could still fit their big sticker over it. Can't cover up her face, hmm, can't hide the title either...lets just leave a big black space so we can still tell people this is indeed a blu ray and dvd.

Been a long while since I'd buy all of MoC's releases in a month.

I already have two of those in their US incarnation but I'm kinda wanting to double dip.
I'm going to grit my teeth and just get the reindeer one. MoC has been very conventional lately, but when they're unconventional, its always a winner.

The Song of Bernadette is of course a masterpiece, but it replicated the TT extras and while I'm sure the booklet is lovely, I can't justify double-dipping. Seems like a no-brainer for anyone who doesn't have it already though

The artwork for One, Two, Three is excellent, pity the film is mid-tier Wilder at best. Looking forward to The White Reindeer.

Man, is that bad... if you read down into the replies, they (barely) modified the original design for the cover, booklet, and the disc itself, AND reprinted the original poster itself in the booklet, all without attribution.

My bet : the people helping Eureka on those HK releases find this one and didn't check it wasn't original artwork, and people at Eureka trust it.

Well that twitter post’s gone.
I wonder if it’s the same people behind the Screenbound reissue of Blood on Satan’s Claw...or just a similar approach to QC that led to a similar situation with its cover art.
