Early to mid November seems like the most likely time. Nobody is really saying for definite, since shipping delays can throw a wrench in the works when you least expect them. What I do know is that they have people working on this around the clock though!
Let's hope that it's a beautiful technical information sheet

Thanks for the detailed reply. Your work on these DVD's is highly appreciated.
Any updates? I still have yet to receive a shipping confirmation from Amazon and the item is still listed as "temporarily out of stock".

I asked again - basically, things are on track for the middle of November.

Amazon has a new release date for the Szamanka DVD: December 15, 2010.

I received Szamanka from Amazon today. The disc is seated on a plastic piece that is not attached to the cardboard in any way. (Plastic piece, with disc in it, can be removed from the rest of the package). Anyone who receives this, could you please post if you believe this is the design or I got a defective box. Thank you.

Definitely not the design. The plastic piece should be glued to the cardboard - thanks for bringing this up, I've passed it on to Mondo Vision.
Amazon would be the people to contact for a replacement.

What happened to the premium edition? It's not available on Amazon!

Supposedly that is a processing error on Amazon's end. Mondo Vision assured me that they delivered stock. It should appear in the next few days.
Mondo Vision also mentioned that the discs are in stock and shipping correctly from
DiabolikDVD.com

Unfortunately, the Limited Edition is listed as out of stock at DiabolikDVD.com as well.

That was fast - I guess they only had limited stock...

I ordered the special edition from Amazon but somehow received the limited edition.
Can anyone verify if Diabolik has the special edition in stock?

(Facepalm)
I asked Mondo Vision and they said they are aware of this problem. They confirmed that Diabolik DVD are actually sending the proper versions. Their site says they have 9 units in stock, and it actually appears to update in real time, so that's believable.

Both versions of Szamanka are currently unavailable at Amazon - will more come in stock soon or are they all sold out?

I get the idea that they are fixing the "sending out the wrong versions" gaffe. There's no way the entire run could have sold out that quickly.

I presume you're referring to the special edition?
If so, I received this edition from DiabolikDVD today and the packaging is identical to what you described. Unlike all previous Mondo Vision special editions, the plastic piece containing the disc is not glued to the cardboard and can be lifted from the digipak.
I originally ordered the special edition from Amazon and instead received the limited edition, however since I planned to purchase both editions at some point in the future I decided to keep it and order the special edition from an outlet that was shipping the editions properly.
I'm glad to have finally received this release and I can't wait until "On The Silver Globe" is available to pre-order.
Everyone continue supporting Mondo Vision!

My special edition of L'important c'est d'aimer had a floating tray so its not just Szamanka.

I see, this aspect doesn't really bother me and in my opinion it doesn't take anything away from the sets. I just wanted to clarify the issue isn't exclusive to one copy.
Does anyone have information pertaining to the upcoming "On The Silver Globe" release?
In August I asked Mondo Vision about the tentative release date and was told at that time to expect it in December.
Of course this was before the recent "Szamanka" delay so I'm guessing the new estimate is February 2011 at the latest?

So... that suggestion of the On the Silver Globe book(s) being concurrently published with the DVD release... please happen. [-o<

One can hope that "
Twarde Ladowanie" (excellent documentary about "The Silver Globe") as a Extra to Mondo Vision DVD finds its place?

It seems that Amazon are now shipping Szamanka - and the correct versions this time!
Apparently some people got sent Limited Editions when they really ordered standard ones. Merry Christmas!

I ordered the regular edition and got the limited edition too. Am I anal enough to order the regular edition again so it matches the rest of my regular editions?

Here is another review of the Second Sight disc of Possession, courtesy of our own Michael_B for Sight and Sound:
Sight & Sound review
While Second Sight’s British DVD premiere doesn’t offer the deluxe packaging lavished by Mondo Vision on other Zulawski films, the disc itself is a pleasant surprise. The grainy transfer is a notch below Mondo Vision’s labour-of-love efforts, but it is at least anamorphically enhanced and correctly framed, and the extras are more substantial than the box blurb’s promise of a ‘making of’ documentary and interview combo would suggest.
Still, Mondo's release when it eventually happens, is likely to best it.
