I live for this annual thread. I want to thank all those who vote and contribute thoughtful, entertaining and learned posts.

Um....is there a 2023 thread somewhere, and I'm not searching well?

I’m not entirely sure about when it opens but it should probably pop up around either the end of December or around New Years.

DarkImbecile began this thread in September 2022, with voting beginning mid December. I appreciate that this takes a LOT of work, and many thanks go out to whomever will take on this task....anyone?

I still think the Criterion Awards might as well be merged with the Other Labels Awards at this point, but I understand that a) there's history/tradition (and after all, this is the Criterion Forum) and b) I'm not the one doing all the work...

I think all of the experienced compilers of lists here are either busy compiling other lists, burned out on compiling lists, or not currently active (has anyone checked on DarkImbecile recently?)

I can put together something within the next couple days but it might be truncated—positive awards only and focused just on Criterion releases, not this forum as well.

Damn...DI has been away a while. As a sometimes poster - mostly lurker I notice such gaping holes in the Forum activity.
