Give it a second, I doubt they're cropping it. It's probably a typo.pzman84 wrote:Wait: the Ray film True Story of Jesse James was widescreen:

Remember when Guns At Batasi and These Thousand Hills were listed as full screen only in announcement and ended up being correct widescreen ratio?

You're probably right. Sorry for my melodramatics. Don't want this to turn into the Breathless board.justeleblanc wrote:Give it a second, I doubt they're cropping it. It's probably a typo.pzman84 wrote:Wait: the Ray film True Story of Jesse James was widescreen:

I wonder if the release of Frank James augurs well for future DVD releases of Lang's films for Fox. I tend to think that Lang's efforts for Fox are among his weakest overall. (American Guerrilla in the Philippines anyone?) But what I wouldn't give for a good release of Man Hunt, which must rank among Lang's finest Hollywood work!

Seems like CBS/Fox must have utilized other source materials for the laser disc release of The Return of Frank James. Seen it, David?
