K, there's no way Glenn Close's surprising knowledge isn't staged

Glenn Close is singlehandedly saving this segment.
(Although I do suspect it was staged, yes.)

Re: Awards Season 2020
If they give it to Chadwick, guess they can just combine the In Memoriam and Best Actor segments this year

Which may be what’s happening, as it seems we’re getting Best Picture next. (Has that ever happened before?)Kracker wrote: Mon Apr 26, 2021 2:48 am If they give it to Chadwick, guess they can just combine the In Memoriam and Best Actor segments this year

Re: Awards Season 2020
I like Angela Bassett, but what an excessively theatrical way to talk about loss. That bothered me way more than it should have.

I was happy to see Brenda Banks there, an animator who worked with Ralph Bakshi on several films.
No Monte Hellman? Bullshit. You could've added him to your slideshow.
There is ALWAYS a publicist there, which I think is ridiculous.

I mean, we knew this wasn't going to be a great broadcast thanks to the pandemic, but it didn't have to be THIS shitty.

Re: Awards Season 2020
I'd rather they give BP now to a film that almost everyone agrees deserves to win, than ending the show with a BP winner that everyone is flipping out over.
