I imagine this has to be coming from Toho who is fairly hands on in regards to Godzilla releases. They made Tokyo Shock pull two DVDs from the market because they included commentaries and supplements they had not signed off on. I imagine Criterion is just quadruple checking to avoid similar headaches.
