This poster however is incredibly awful.

Looks like a quirky comedy when presented like that.

And they misspelled Elisabeth Moss (which is maybe why she's the only cast member not pictured).

Considering how much shit they piled into that image, where the hell is Elisabeth Moss? In the trunk of the car?
Edit: SNAP!

Doesn't look like much of a horror movie, but I like it.

Re: Movie Posters
I posted about Rue Royale earlier in this thread, who do great quality lithographic reprints of posters using era accurate printing presses. They are offering 60% off purchase of two or more posters with promo code ”ruewholesale". They've also dropped their regular prices quite a bit since the last time I posted.

Re: Movie Posters
Where would people in the UK go to find posters?
I'm not interested in them having to be original. I've no idea what I want though, so would like a selection to browse. I'm more interested in classic posters, Hollywood or European, from the 20s through to the 70s, rather than for modern films.

Re: Movie Posters
Pardon that this has doubtlessly been asked, but where is a good place to buy lamenated posters? I finally have a classroom bigger than a broom closest and want to spiff it up a little.
Also I want to switch out the posters based on the unit I’m teaching (like right now I’m teaching Ancient Greece so would enjoy a Medea poster for the unit) so if anyone might know what would be a good choice of sticker is for that I’d appreciate it. Right now I’m leaning toward velcro squares, but I’m open to anything.

Re: Movie Posters
While the thread's been bumped: anyone know anyone in northern California who does solid poster restoration?
I picked up a gorgeous, extremely large poster that's in beautiful condition color-wise, but is folded and very brittle, so I expect it needs a steady, experienced hand to mount it and do some repair work. Unfortunately, the closest places I'm finding are Portland, LA, and Texas, and I'm afraid the repair, mounting, and glass cost alone will be eye-watering enough without worrying about shipping.

Re: Movie Posters
They do have some terrific posters. It is pricey but I was going through it and did see some under $100 in the $50 range. I wonder if they would give discounts to schools and academia

Re: Movie Posters
King and McGaw do nice posters - not just film, but travel, art, etc. Quite pricey, but I imagine these are good repros. Framed regular prints are between £70-£150ish. The art selection is really, really good. Films-wise, you get Saul Bass, Ealing comedy posters, Polish posters of US films, etc. I could burn so much money here.TMDaines wrote: Mon Nov 25, 2019 2:03 pm Where would people in the UK go to find posters?
