That’s a hot take from Domino. I’ll remain in the throng rolling my eyes at that scene.

Saddest realisation from the film is that the closest relation to Churchill in politics nowadays is Boris Johnson, an absolute Tuesday.

I actually liked that scene too, and I think Dom comes pretty close to explaining why. Mostly, even though I knew it was total bunk, I liked the idea of it happening.

But I’m also a transit nerd and I think that has a lot to do with it, too. True story: I met Rahm Emanuel one night in the Lake subway station downtown. It was actually the night before his first mayoral election and he was down there campaigning. I won’t lie - the fact that he spent the night before the election shaking hands with CTA riders made me like him more. It’s powerful symbolism!
