What he said, only replacing the second word with “do”.Pavel wrote:I don't like One Cut and cannot see a world in which a Hazanavicius remake improves upon it

Here’s a surprising one: the filmmakers behind Cam are working on a new version of Faces of Death

Nice, though I'm far less interested in Boyega returning and will see this based on the other kids, most notably scene-stealing Alex Esmail's involvement. They should have really just had him become star in his own sequel.

Re: New Films in Production, v.2
I believe this is different from another recently announced project regarding the Middle Passage, although Caldecott Chubb (who co-produced Glass Shield and To Sleep With Anger) was attached to that one as well.
Burnett has turned down a lot of projects over the years. I don't think he cares for Hollywood's development process and he only aligns himself with material he can have absolutely control over. Very little-known fact: he turned down the chance to direct the Eddie Murphy vehicle The Distinguished Gentleman (1992), which would have netted him a salary that was almost as large as the budget of To Sleep With Anger.

Late style incoming.
Hill did three of the best Westerns from the last 41 years. Maybe that's not saying much... but still, they're good.
The synopsis here smells a bit of contrived wokeness, but if that was what it took to get the project off the ground, so be it...

Over course his films from the last twenty years, at least, haven’t been so hot.

I’m super excited for Argento’s next horror film. He made ten of the best horror films of the last 50 years!

Bill Condon to direct a new film of Guys and Dolls.
For some reason the author of this article seems to think Guys and Dolls is set during the Depression.

I wonder if Universal is wanting to go down the Insidious/Conjuring route and have an older lady roaming the world exorcising people. Maybe Burstyn is going to become the new Lin Shaye figure, troubled by events from her past but it being something pushing her forward to keep performing her daily exercises!DarkImbecile wrote: ↑Mon Jul 26, 2021 2:20 pmHere's an unexpected development: Universal drops $400m on a new Exorcist trilogy starring Leslie Odom, Jr., and Ellen Burstyn
I am cautious about this news however as only Exorcist III really captured my interest from the original run of films.
