I found if you go into your account and correct the number there (for both 'Personal Info' & 'My addresses' - for me if was always defaulting to a UK area code), it then presented the correct number when placing an order. Though I never had any issue correcting it within the order process, from memory.Michael Kerpan wrote: ↑Fri Jul 17, 2020 2:19 pmI get stuck at the same spot -- and it won't allow me to move ahead to the next screen. There seems to be no way to get past this.

Hmm, guess you’ll have to deal with customer service then. Sorry it didn’t work.

It is almost like the template they use blocks the field from working. If you type in the template number, it is acceptable. If you replace the local portion of the number, it still seems okay. But as soon as you start "correcting" the area code, one gets the error message. Very strange.

All I remember, Michael, is that I more or less followed Ribs' advice--enter it on the first screen and ignore prompts to change it elsewhere--and then forged ahead to the point of sale, and it worked. Sorry I can't be more specific than that. For what it's worth, it definitely seems to be a minor bug for international customers--i.e., not something you are doing incorrectly.

I find I have trouble with Arrow's site on Firefox, which is my preferred browser. But issues like changing the country code and placing orders are resolved when I switch over to Chrome. You may want to try that if you haven't already or are using Chrome now.

I'm using Chrome -- and it insists on that field being filled in in order to move further in the ordering process. Very frustrating.

Made one more order with my iPhone and Safari. The only thing that was a little weird is the telephone field where it doesn’t change the international area code to the Finnish one. Other than that, the order went fine. Took advantage of that promotional code FILMSTORIESCAMP which gives additional 10% off (if you order over 30£) and these titles are going to be mine:
1) Sacha Guitry: Four Films 1936-1938
2) The Miraculous Virgin
3) Slugs (most likely no booklet anymore )
4) Two Films by Hong Sangsoo
Btw, I had a really hard time ordering from JB Hi-Fi last month with Safari. That was seriously retarded but with Firefox no problem.

I’ve been ordering direct from Arrow for years and began encountering the international phone number glitch after the site overhaul. Basically, you have to leave Britain as the Country Code for some reason. I’m also not sure why, but for titles Arrow releases in both Region A and Region B, they always send me a Region B edition. This is a bit disappointing as my UK BD player doesn’t upscale BDs like my US player, but then I’m not sure if there’s any way to request US editions where available.

I'm fairly certain that the Arrow online store only sells UK editions (either Region B or Region A&B). For the U.S. and Canadian editions, they have specific distribution partners (Unobstructed View in Canada, not sure whom for the U.S.)RitrovataBlue wrote: ↑Sat Jul 18, 2020 7:35 pmI’ve been ordering direct from Arrow for years and began encountering the international phone number glitch after the site overhaul. I'm pretty sure I tried leaving the UK country code -- to no avail.

Finally got this to work. Entering the info directly on the mailing address page (in advance of ordering) worked. The info entered on the personal info page of one's account info seems not to carry over to anywhere else.

Gamera is back in stock at Hive and eBay seller Speedyhen. With the latter, you can get 20% off for the next couple of days using the code POCKET20 at checkout - bringing it down to £92.46.

Gamera is now available at cduniverse.com. (Not sure I ever ordered anything from them.) Price is $117.95, plus when I clicked that link the first time there was a 15% off popup of some sort (which only appeared the first time though, but a different browser did present the offer again).

I used to order all the time from CDUniverse probably 15+ years ago. They're reputable, or at least they were.

Re: Arrow: Cheapest Prices/Best Places to Buy/Pre-Orders/Deals
Good point, the email I just got today said it was "now available for ordering". I requested notification a few weeks ago, before I got it elsewhere, so there may be a chance for somebody else, as when I click the Add to Cart button in that same email, it gets added to my cart and says "Low availability".
So with that in mind, here's my link for adding to cart (I just emptied the cart): https://www.cduniverse.com/checkout/car ... 65880&frm=
Good luck.

My Amazon UK order I placed at the end of August is inching closer and closer to Dispatched, hoping I ordered the Gamera box from them in time to get it fulfilled...

Damn, Arrow's exemplary Blu-Ray for Jean-Luc Godard's La Chinoise for a fiver. An enormous markdown.
And their equally exemplary Blu-Ray for RoboCop is very tempting at £7.50. Not the out-of-print limited edition, but it's still packed to the gills with extras.

The LE of Eight Hours Don’t Make A Day is just £15 on Amazon.

30th anniversary with 30 titles is a cute wink I guess, but man this has got to be the weakest/slimmest Arrow sale yet

Sure is. It didn't sink in until I looked through the selection - it took maybe ten seconds max to scan the whole thing.therewillbeblus wrote: ↑Fri Feb 19, 2021 2:19 pm30th anniversary with 30 titles is a cute wink I guess, but man this has got to be the weakest/slimmest Arrow sale yet
