Looks like all of these except Narayama are on the Criterion Channel at the moment

I put it up because I’m curious what others have to say about this strange and marvellous film.
That's enough to get me to change my vote. I coincidentally collected all of Imamura's films earlier this year with the intent to go through my blind spots in the near future, so this is as good a reason as any to get started.

I've been campaigning for more love for Eejanaika for years. It's been hard to make progress due to its lack of availability (there was only that fairly poor quality subbed HK DVD long ago). I think I may have watched this on Filmstruck quite some time ago -- and it was nice seeing it look reasonably good. I don't know if it is the "best" of the films on your present list -- but (for reasons I am not entirely sure about) it is the one I am fondest of. Perhaps because of its exuberance? (And it is his most colorful film after Profound Desires).

The 2010s are really unpopular, I guess.

Honestly I think it's one of the most exciting decades ever, but I don't like any of those films very much so I'm having trouble formulating a semipassionate reason to vote

I own both Forgiveness of Blood and Cameraperson and I have seen neither, so flipped a coin that landed on Forgiveness

To get in the spirit of the upcoming 60s list, I’m going to cast my vote towards Cul-de-sac or The Insect Woman (the former for now only because it’s the one I like the least and am curious if it can improve through my own revisit and ingesting others’ readings)

I went for The Insect Woman myself. It’s a rich film and I love Imamura.

I'll likely change my vote to it since it is much richer for discussion, at least as far as I remember both films from a single viewing each 5+ years ago

Pretty hard for me to choose between Docks of New York and Insect Woman...

These are all '60s films by the way, to coordinate with that list that's about to start up

I appreciate the reminder that The Passion of Anna is a 60s film, as it wasn't on my long shortlist, and will almost certainly bump some other gem off it now

Vote for Deneuve.

I found Les Créatures to be a fascinating, if deeply flawed film ripe for discussion- but Belle de jour seems to be the clear winner in terms of taking the use of Deneuve's star power into its analysis. When we do the Piccoli project, it may be worth revisiting the Varda though!

On a snowy Christmas Eve night years ago I was with my fiancee who disappeared for a few minutes when the first love of my life approached me and wished me season's greetings in the intimate way we used to talk to each other before she left the building and walked alone down the sidewalk as the snow began falling more heavily and I could see the trace of her footsteps as she disappeared into the distance.

Some people think the ending of Cherbourg is corny. I am not one of them.
