Re: Vote for Deneuve.

I think Tristana is Deneuve's most interesting performance.
I personally find it more intriguing than Belle de Jour. It shows a greater range of character transformation.
(I am unclear whether we are allowed to add to the list shown, but if so, I would add Tristana)

You aren't. These titles were randomly generated from among the Criterion Collection

Currently a dead heat. I'll give you guys until late this afternoon to change that, otherwise I'll remove me vote from one of them making the other the de facto winner. Don't leave it in my hands!

Another dead heat, currently 12 vs. 12... Time for our first ever double-threaded film club? I'd definitely be up for discussing both films.

I haven't seen either sister film in the better part of a decade, so I cannot recall any differences at this time, but over the years I've wondered why some people strongly prefer I Am Curious—Blue to Yellow, so that gets my vote in the hope of finding out, as well as comparing the two myself

If I were _forced_ to pick a very favorite Hollywood drama film -- I would probably go with Docks of New York. Not certain what made this stand out so much -- but it was love at first sight (much more so than any other Sternberg film -- even those I also really like). (Possibly the distinctive nature of its visual beauty (often kind of not beautiful but still beautiful).

If I were forced to pick a favorite moment in any film ever, it would be the one everyone who has already seen Mauvais sang is thinking of

On the other hand, I thought Docks of New York was kinda bad and will happily talk about why. Mothra vs Godzilla, tho'...is there really anything to say about that movie?

Currently a tie, and the poll ends when I get up tomorrow. Pale Flower and Dragon Inn fans, now's your chance to break the tie.

I love both, but don't feel passionate about discussing either (even after revisiting Pale Flower just last week), and in cases where I can't promise to add to discussion, I abstain from voting. However, if anybody vocalizes here what they might enjoy "discussing" about Dragon Inn (there are seven of you!), I'll happily vote for it, but I'm struggling to see a fruitful path ahead for that one, despite it being my personal favorite Hu and the best film of the lot
