Hal Hartley’s got a Kickstarter up and running for the fifth & likely last collection of his work, the Flirt, Amateur & Meanwhile Boxed-set, which’ll also include a handful of shorts.

I'm excited Amateur is finally get released and he's been able to release almost all of his films himself (It's too bad the studio won't give him No Such Thing since nothing is being done with that title). There's also a note that says he's trying to launch Where to Land back up. I wonder if he'll redo a Kickstarter since that money was either refunded or went to the last boxset.

That’s MGM, so not impossible to imagine a future KLSC release

And the Hal Hartley kickstarter also includes a CD of 'reimagined' music from Meanwhile and tracks from the Berlin shorts.

Did you get an email saying it’d shipped?

Mine arrived today. I definitely didn't get a shipping email, but if you use USPS informed delivery, keep an eye out for a package from one of the least "Hal Hartley" of places: Boise. (Not a knock on Boise, I'm sure it's a lovely place.)

Thanks, but I’m not in the US. Guess it’ll be a surprise when it turns up then.

I don't know if this will help Adam in his wait but I received my package in the UK today, complete with Boise, Idaho postmark. I had not realised until reading the flyer in the screenplay book that Hartley's first novel Our Lady of the Highway, was published on the 14th June! That has a very Hartley-esque synopsis:
A funny, warm-hearted, and provocative farce about a beautiful but troubled insurance adjuster who believes she has psychic powers she cannot control. She decides to enter a Catholic convent for three months to protect society from her powerful emotions and her devoted math teacher boyfriend hopes this will cure her of these delusions. But the only convent that will accept her is an impoverished cloister run by a gang of outlaw nuns opening a brewery to help finance their radical activist plans.

I was just about to find somewhere to post about this. Curious to see how Hartley approaches the written word when it’s not a screenplay.

Did any backers in the EU already received their reward(s)?

Thanks for the reply! And now I have an idea of the whereabouts of my package: PT customs... :(

Silent horror The Magician is having a 16mm b&w print remastered in 4K (the existing Warner Archive DVD looks a bit ropey but is tinted). https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/re ... escription

A poster on Blu-ray.com reached out to them about their images looking upscaled, but they responded:
We’re using Deep Restore from Diamant for the denoising. It’s going to be a mix of AI and frame by frame restoration. There’s no upscaling. The pictures are just previews. The restoration is not completed yet, it will be different from what you see in the campaign.

Hal Hartley’s Henry Fool trilogy sold out on his site - can we expect this to come back in stock or is it gone forever? (And did anyone happen to pick up an extra who wants to unload it..)

There's someone selling it on Amazon for only $20 more than it cost directly

When I went to click on that one, it wouldn't allow me to add it to my cart for some reason.. must've just missed it. Is the set now OOP, or will they come back in stock direct?

I think Amazon Canada has three of them in stock in their warehouse, not Possible Films, so it should be shippable to you in the US
