He tipped his hand beyond plausible deniability this time. Bressonaire, we don’t care that you’re an insider, just own it!

Man, if this means Roma is spine #1000, there's gonna be a lot of people ripping up their betting tickets and throwing the pieces on the ground

Could still be one of his “strategic” wrong guesses

Not to volunteer for the pyre, but I did predict Häxan before Bressonaire...

Exactly! But then again what’s the point of posting here if these are not guesses? Sooner or later we would find out.

He could do “Two truths and a lie” and be in the spirit of the thread

If it's true I like Roma at 1000 more than Citizen Kane or GBH.

Where are our historians, when is the last time announcements were bumped to the 17th?

This is the first time they're being bumped to the 19th

I don’t think they’d actually delay the whole slate for Godzilla’s announcement, unless it’s the only thing coming out that month (highly unlikely)

It was within the past few years. I believe 2015-2016ish there was a time period where there was a delay every month for like five months and one of those months had a two-day delay.

Though it is conceivable we’ll still get announcements if they go up in the next hour or so, I guess

I think those delays were in months where the 15th fell on a weekend, and they chose to delay them until the following Monday. I think they might have made announcements on the 14th in some months but I can't recall.

Seems likely now, considering the Haxan page update. Also, checked the wayback machine, and all of the pictures/videos for Haxan are different now.

Distinctly recall the March 2016 slate being delayed at least two days, maybe three? Although then, they would actually explain that it would be a little longer.

Sooo... Everyone is in agreement Bressonaire is a witch, right? There is no way he just pulled that title out of nowhere.
Only if he weighs the same as a duck.

Maybe they weren't ready yesterday, and they didn't want to eclipse Klute and The Baker's Wife---I wouldn't.

Who to blame for the delays? Amazon and Bezos probably with their 2 Prime Days.… Or maybe Criterion is going for a suspenseful drama. When they finally drop the bomb(s) they are hoping the waves would reach Patagonia.

That Haxan clip looks really nice. Has that/a restoration played anywhere—silent festivals and the like—or is this out of the blue? I don't recall seeing one mentioned anywhere...

The restoration they're using has been out for about 3 years, yup. Apparently it was played in NYC about a year ago?

Since we can’t post in the spine 1000 thread, it’s also mentioned in the podcast, Kline doesn’t even know which title wound up being it (my editorial because no one rightly cares) but that there are several kicking around on deck he thinks would be good candidates.
