Let me second these:

BEST OVERALL RELEASE
CzechMate: In Search of Jiří Menzel (Second Run)
Eve (Indicator)
Gamera: The Complete Collection (Arrow)
Goodbye, Dragon Inn (Second Run)
How You Live Your Story: Selected Works by Kevin Jerome Everson (Second Run)

BEST PACKAGING
Gamera: The Complete Collection (Arrow)

Can we post nominations multiple times? There are a few things I haven’t finished watching yet that I’d like to potentially nominate down the line, but I also don’t want to cut things too close for them to get seconded. (Technically I haven’t watched the Second Run releases yet, but their quality is undeniable.)

It is, as per the release date shown on Amazon UK.

And I'll second Columbia Noir #1

I will just link to my list from the other thread for non-Criterion titles for nomination but would particularly note Indicator's release of Peter Mullan's Orphans and Dennis Potter's Secret Friends as being amazing rescues from the archives that came out early in the year.

Best release:
the Good Place Complete Series (Shout Factory)
My Bloody Valentine (Shout Factory)

In terms of waiting forever for them to materialize on Blu-ray, I'll vote for all of these as best even though they don't really add much if anything to the DVD releases in terms of extras:

American Madness
Bluebeard's Eighth Wife
Christmas in July
Godspell
the Good Fairy
the Great McGinty
Hard Eight
the Harvey Girls
Inside Daisy Clover
Libeled Lady
Lord Love a Duck
Love Me Tonight
the Pirate
the Reluctant Debutante
Roman Holiday
Romance on the High Seas
Sgt York
Sunday in New York
Sweet Bird of Youth
Wonder Boys

Maybe those could use a “Best Upgrade” category? I was thinking of nominating a few of them too, but I’m hesitant to call any of them the Best Release of the Year.

I'll post something more comprehensive when I'm not between clients

Second:
-Crash (Arrow)
-Survivor Ballads (Arrow)
-Bluebeard's Eighth Wife
-Lord Love a Duck
-Sgt York
-Sunday in New York
-Sweet Bird of Youth
-Wonder Boys

Nominate:

BEST OVERALL RELEASE
America As Seen By a Frenchman (Arrow)
Sweet Charity (Indicator)
Three Edgar Allen Poe adaptations (MoC)

BEST COMMENTARY
Adrian Martin- Five Graves to Cairo (MoC)

BEST BONUS FILM
Ecstasis (Funeral Parade of Roses- BFI)

Is the MOST DISAPPOINTING category for the treatment of the film or the film itself, or a dual category for both? I'd like to nominate Little Nothings for worst release, but if there's no category for that, no worries

I don't generally like being negative for its own sake, but I view this as kind of a constructive criticism category, so more having to do with the treatment. That being said, I'll add whatever category if enough people want it

I don't either, though I find it helpful when posters whose tastes are similar to mine wave a big red flag to help me avert a blind-buy, but having said that, I think I just waved my flag and don't feel the need to propose an added category- especially to this looser Forum Awards, which could easily transform into a "I hated this movie" "seconded" thread, and I don't want a part in initiating that

Of course, there is also StudioCanal's release of Breathless, Eureka's Kwaidan, and Sony's release of Dr. Strangelove in the Columbia Classics set. There's also Arrow's Kieslowski set, which arguably should win by default for not sitting on the other three movies for years :).

I will have more but I want to make sure to nominate Operation Condor: Armor of God II from 88, and think there's a decent argument their series of Jackie Chan releases is one of the big home video success stories of the year, as they made a leap from mostly good last year to suddenly every single one having a completely dynamite transfer with every cut you could possible want presented pristinely. I would also nominate Dial Code Santa Claus from Vinegar Syndrome. I'd like to second Force 10 from Navarone from Indicator as well. In the "barely came out this year" category, I would say that in my own opinion the Paramount 4K disc for Gemini Man is the most staggeringly beautiful picture quality I've ever seen and have to nominate it for that reason as well, though I think voting for studio releases of recent movies is a little not in the spirit of this list.

In general, I'm a lot more caught up with releases due to time spent at home (there were even several months where my "to watch" Criterions were down to 0!), but still have so many I'm unlikely to get to in anything resembling a prompt manner.
