Imprint posted a teaser for their upcoming announcements with tiny slivers of the covers, and these are 100% confirmed:
The Assassination Bureau
Dad’s Army
Michael Caine Harry Palmer Collection
A Reflection of Fear
Ned Kelly (1970)
+ the two Browning Versions

Also, Dad's Army is part of a Big Screen British Comedy set, which also includes Are You Being Served?, Steptoe & Son and Steptoe & Son Ride Again

Also Space 1999: The Complete Series, the second title in the Imprint TV line.

And no September bundle pack, presumably because they're putting out $800 AUD of product that month. Thanks for nothing, Zhang Yimou box!

It was posted on a Friday. Maybe the work experience kid (sorry, young person) forgot.

Has Imprint nixed extras at the last minute before? I'm debating when it's safe to preorder The Straight Story, which I really only want to shell out the dough for to get this promised commentary (that implicitly violates Lynch's wishes, sorry David)

Not that I'm aware of, but these are untested waters. I should think it will be worth picking up anyway though for the format upgrade

The Apostle had a new commentary with critic Peter Tonguette listed on the press release, but it didn't end up appearing on the disc. No idea why.

This commentary is still listed on their website... for a release that came out almost half a year ago. So basically, the jury's out until this thing enters my player- What a label!

I asked Imprint's customer service if they could officially confirm The Straight Story's commentary making it to final product (citing the concern over The Apostle as an example), and got the following affirmative response:
Imprint Films wrote:I can confirm Peter Tonguette's commentary will definitively be on The Straight Story blu ray

Thanks

Essential Noir vol. 2 (Hollywood Story, The City That Never Sleeps, Plunder of the Sun, Private Hell 36)
Hard to think of a less essential collection of noir movies than this. The City That Never Sleeps is okay but available from Olive already in the states. Hollywood Story is a piece of shit and Private Hell 36 is as boring as its title is cool. Haven't seen Plunder of the Sun but can't imagine any movie being able to counterbalance this lineup to earn the collection's title of "Essential"
I found a copy of the set for a reasonable price since I was curious about the extras for the others and I generally try to maintain a noir library, even for lesser titles. I usually like Kim Newman but his comments here are too heavy on relying on Kenneth Anger and some of his speculative contributions about projects he hasn't seen were less than helpful. My only blindspot here, Plunder of the Sun wasn't very good either, to the surprise of no one, but I did enjoy the extra (ported over from an earlier DVD release unseen by me) that reproduced Glenn Ford's letter to his wife in which we learn Ford was a guest at an inaugural dinner for Eisenhower and Nixon that was held in Mexico for some reason. Lord only knows what they'd possibly include in a third volume of "essential" noirs if these were the ones they prioritized for the followup set-- I'm picturing the Basketball Fix headlining...

November titles:

Let's Scare Jessica to Death
Tam Lin (Roddy McDowall's sole directing credit)
Body Parts (Hands of Orlac riff from the writer of The Hitcher)
The Gift (Sam Raimi)
Stir of Echoes
The Medusa Touch (Jack Gold)
The Possession of Joel Delaney

Also, a standard edition of Hard Eight (only losing a slipcover) is now available for pre-order

I see that Bob Murawski did a new interview for The Gift, I wonder why he turned down Kino's interview request for Hard Target?

Meant to mention this myself. Along with the above I just got a handful of other releases that did have differences in the extras department ftom what’s listed online.

Drugstore Cowboy
* missing the director & writer featurettes.
* the actor featurette is with Kelly Lynch
* it does actually have the old Gus Van Sant & Matt Dillon commentary
* at a glance, I wouldn't be surprised if the master was sadly the same one used for Artisan's DVD. It's 1080p better, but that look's about all.

Hammer Horror: Four Gothic Horror Films
* nothing missing, though every film has additional extras, the lengthiest for Vampire Circus. The Digital Bits review has a breakdown.
* director’s cut of ‘The Flesh and the Fury’ doco is not 2hrs, instead it’s 89mins.
* director’s cut of ‘Flesh & Blood’ is 146m

Haunted
not seen this one since the first time on VHS, but recall really liking it.
* weirdly not mentioned, this release has 2 versions: "Original straight negative transfer (1.66:1) & theatrical version (1.85:1) with alternate colour grading".

Well that's a bummer. Mine's already on the way. At least I managed to find it for a decent price (just under $30 at Popmarket with a newbie discount code).

He essentially said on Twitter that Universal has the material for Woo's true original cut, and he'd rather see that get released.

That is what I assumed, but I wasn't aware that he commented on the Kino disc.

Could #5 be The 7th Victim? The font on the original poster doesn't have a yellow highlighting, and the white/blue colors are swapped left to right - so if it's decidedly copying the poster art then I guess it's not, but I'm hopeful
