You could have just looked on the previous page of this thread.
I have a bad habit of doing that... #-o

Yes, apart from some remaining debris and scratches the 3sat print looked surprisingly good. No idea whether it was struck from an already restored print (none of the usual resto references at the beginning of the film) or whether the Austrians simply had a well-preserved old copy. Should be a no-brainer for Criterion in any case.

OK this is no longer late 2007/Early 2008 anymore. What the hell is going on? I'm desperate for these films!

Wouldn't it be great if we got this and a Gremillon Eclipse box in April. That would make my year.

After the non-starters of March, your wallet should be geared and ready to go

Did you forget about three forthcoming Mizo sets from MoC, Post-War Kurosawa, Lubitsch Musicals, Surami Fortress, Phantom Carriage, Rocco and his Brothers, La Notte,The River (Borzage, from filmmuseum), Berlin Alexanderplatz (Jutzi, from arthaus) ? All due in the next two months... If there was only CC, you'd be right of course. :)

Related topic: the Italian Videociak internet DVD retailer has announced an Italian DVD release of Ophuls´s LA SIGNORA DI TUTTI. My guess it´s from NoShame, while surfing the net a few years back I found an article/interview with the NoShame folks. They mentioned Ophuls´s LA SIGNORA DI TUTTI and also SANS LENDEMAIN I think as upcoming DVDs.

A new Ophuls restoration is getting a premiere at Cannes. I bet they are waiting until after that.

There's some good bonuses on the discs that I doubt will be reproduced

That's an expensive month, I wouldn't be able to handle all that in one go. Then again my birthday is around the corner...

Stop! Actually, the Second Sights are £6.97 minus VAT at Amazon, so I don't feel so bad.

Well, the Reckless Moment is a Republic title so no matter what Criterion won't be touching it, and Criterion may license commentaries but I doubt they'd license the exclusive video essays or Haynes interviews.

How did THE RECKLESS MOMENT end up with Republic? It was a Columbia production, and I thought these were owned by Sony...
