christ, they don't even have the interview with the cohen's from the original disc.

Well, the "Making of The Big Lebowski" could be the interview as that 30 min. featurette also featured Bridges, Goodman, etc. talking about the movie so it wouldn't surprise me if this is just a rehash from the original release.

What a disappointment. And it would have been so easy to include some new extras (like something on the Lebowski Fest... hello!). Lazy.

Geez...

You never know, maybe that's their point, since uh, uh, you know, uh... that's, that's what I'm saying, man, uh... The dude abides. And since double dipping is so easy to sell these days, well, uh, uh, that's what you pay me for. You know what I'm trying to say here...

Sorry to bring a damper to the quotefrenzy, but I found a link to the cover art.

Thanks, Universal. *sigh* Thanks.

It is kind of funny that they show "the rug" but Jesus that is the UGLIEST and downright STUPIDEST cover ever.

Ughhhh. That cover SCARES me, especially the way the dots on the rug (which is WAY too bright for a reflection) line up with where the pupils of The Dude's eyes would be. The Dude looks like a DEMON.

Plus the extras aren't that appealing and there's no commentary.

I've been waiting on this new disc for a while, but depending on what the transfer looks like, I might just buy the original release instead.

Actually, I like it... it certainly is an improvement over the existing cover which is awful.

Yeah, that obviously is the best of all the posters of The Big L. Altho, I remember seeing one in a British film mag that was just of woman's foot missing a toe that was pretty funny.

I've always had a problem with that "From the Creators of FARGO." line.

Achiever's Edition =D>

More special features and they might have overcome the obstacle of my reticence to double dip.

The collection looks like a good price.

Too bad that they don't have more movies in it though, since I only have a couple of Coen brothers films.

I like the way the boxed set is called the Coen Brothers' Collection, as if to emphasize that this is not just a collection of films by the Coen Brothers but is, in fact, their collection specifically. I guess they blew their budget for a cover designer on the Achiever's Edition.

I loved the story that the basic idea for Walter came from the Coen's experiences with John Milius.

Is it just me or does the scene where we first meet Julianne Moore swinging from the ceiling have here naughy bits obscured on the dvd? I could've sworn in the orig. theatrical release you could see 'em...don't tell me they're pulling off another Mullholand Drive...
