The Digital Classics DVD is wretched, with striations across the x axis, as if it was photographed off a CTV. I'm pretty sure the image is stretched as well. It's best feature is the KR commentary, which is delightful.

Yeah wouldn’t be surprised if it is a UK release of The Major and the Minor

Indeed I see that on Amazon. DARK CITY is the Charlton Heston led film.

The Major and the Minor is also getting a US and Can release. (the lone Academy title for those markets)

Kim Newman's site mentions that he contributed to an Arrow Blu-ray of Invisible Man Appears/The Invisible Man vs the Human Fly.

My guess would be Umberto Lenzi's Eyeball, since it hasn't gotten a home video release yet, if I remember correctly.

Eyeball is out in the UK from 88 Films, so it’s probably not that one.

It might be as literal as the Pang Brothers' The Eye, especially considering they've been snapping up ex-Tartan title left, right and centre (e.g. The Ring Collection, Oldboy, upcoming Jodorowsky set).

It won't be any of those three.

- The Tree of Life was already licensed by Fox to Sony/Criterion UK just last year
- 2001: A Space Odyssey is a Warner Bros property and therefore would be very difficult to license, not to mention it recently got released via HMV's exclusive 'Premium Collection' (and I bet you WB would say no to sub-licensing any Kubrick to anyone with the exception of Criterion)
- Eyes Without a Face was released by BFI just a few years ago, in a very solid edition I might add (also R.I.P. Edith Scob, what a legacy)

interesting, and I hope so.

And, given the recent Don’t Look Now restoration, this would be timely. As people often compare Who Saw Her Die to DLN.

oooh, isn't that the Aldo Lado film with the repeated haunting Morricone cue with children singing?

It is. It has been ages since I watched it, but I remember really liking it, largely because of Morricone's score.

I remember liking the film itself a lot, but it's the Morricone score that has stuck me with me ever since that first watch.

I'm happy to see you took me seriously :). But it does look similar to I Origins

The U.S. release is the only one that looks promising. I have all those Bavas and theyre just rereleases of old discs, some of which need a tune up.

Who Saw Her Die is terrific. Glad that Arrow will occasionally pick up Shameless titles for US territory with superior restoration work. As was the case with their excellent release of Torso. Gives me hope, perhaps, for such other great Italian horror titles as Strange Vice of Mrs Wardh.

Also, one hopes that Lado's Night Train Murders, a complex, upsetting and gruelling take on the justified homicide revenge narrative, will receive a definitive release (maybe a reissue by Blue Underground of their average original release - or by whomever has/can get, the rights).
