I guess. And, you're right, of course. Just love the phrase "liar ass credits".

Re: 'Rediculous' Customer & Critic Reviews
According to Wikipedia the movie was billed as "Mad Max meets The China Syndrome" but Gibson doesn't even appear in it. I guess whatever scene he was in got cut.
Sort of an odd thing to have in one's filmography the year after starring in the most profitable film that had ever been made (Mad Max).

I would have been more upset if I rented it and didn't see Keanu Reeves.

Well, it’s Umbrella’s November release in their Ozploitation Classics line, and I, for one, found the trailer on their site very appealing.

Who would continue to watch a movie after the THIRD time they fell asleep? What kept waking them up?

Letterboxd reviewer of The Pillow Book going out of his way to tell everyone he's absolutely not gay, no sirree. There is also tons of male nudity in this film. Penises and testicles are not aesthetically interesting to me. Nor is the male form of much interest beyond that either. And there are fat disgusting men who are naked in this film. Why does anyone need to see any of this? It's just completely ill conceived and terrible and above all BORING.

Re: 'Rediculous' Customer & Critic Reviews
I forget where I read it (otherwise I'd link), but there was a hilarious review of Walerian Borowczyk's Immoral Tales that revealed rather more than I expected to read about its author's weird hang-ups about... well, naked women looking completely normal.Cameron Swift wrote: ↑Fri Sep 14, 2018 10:50 pmLetterboxd reviewer of The Pillow Book going out of his way to tell everyone he's absolutely not gay, no sirree.
Which reminds me of one of the funniest arguments I've ever seen online. It was about contemporary female pubic hair fashion, and the two most vociferous participants were this man whose samples seemed to come exclusively from porn (so biased towards exhibitionists who might have professional reasons for shaving it off), and my wife, a midwife-turned-obs-and-gynae ultrasonographer who even then had notched up over a decade's experience. In other words, her data set ran into the tens of thousands, comprising women of all ages and backgrounds, teens to geriatric, and you'd have thought that most people would accept this as pretty clinching. But no - the bloke was the kind of man who would never accept that a mere woman could possibly know more than him (even when she clearly did, and for absolutely obvious and unquestionably clinching reasons) and so he kept it going, digging his hole deeper and deeper with each successive post. I'd link to it, but sadly the forum that hosted it suffered a terminal crash a couple of years later and lost everything.

I have no interest in naked men. I have no interest in naked men. I have no interest in naked men. Why can't these ones be more attractive?Cameron Swift wrote: ↑Fri Sep 14, 2018 10:50 pmLetterboxd reviewer of The Pillow Book going out of his way to tell everyone he's absolutely not gay, no sirree. There is also tons of male nudity in this film. Loved this. Looked everywhere for this movie. Never thought I'd find it on amazon. Wow! Wanted my kids to see this as we live in Oklahoma. They couldn't understand how a walmart could be so small and that could happen. Afterwards they just kept asking questions about how small walmart really used to be? This was a great way for my kids to learn what life was like not long ago. It was very detailed and very family oriented movie.

Yes. I love that this person's idea of kids engaging with a film is asking a lot of questions about Wal-Mart, and that a film less than twenty years old offers a window into the past like the 90s were medieval times

Had a relative with a copy of that sitting atop a pile of VHS tapes whenever I would visit their house and I was always blown away by how creepy it is that they had Natalie Portman stand to highlight her butt in a pair of terrible jeans instead of just facing forward like Judd. Like... why? What was that poster shoot like?

I mean, you're typing this on a forum where members literally spent 5+ pages talking about Portman's ass

I laughed out loud at thisDavid Ehrenstein wrote: ↑Thu Sep 27, 2007 7:11 pmNatalie Portman's naked ass is a thing of wonder. In fact it's the most notable naked ass to hit the screen since Peter Beard's in Hallelujah the Hills (1963).

My favorite part is when Donald Brown gets mad about people liking her ass-- not as a defense of her, but because he didn't like her ass. Imagine getting angry over any ass that isn't your own

Thank goodness this is already one of our dumbest threads so I don't have to expend too much mental energy on ass puns for a threadsplit

Want my kids to see this thread as we live in New Mexico. They wouldn’t understand how a thread about Natalie Portman’s ass could be so long and that could happen. They just keep asking questions about how threads about Natalie Portman’s ass really used to be? This is a great way for my kids to learn what life was like not long ago.

Re: 'Rediculous' Customer & Critic Reviews
I recognize the brilliance of Rosemanry's Baby but the setting is what has kept me from warming up to it. I don't care for the 60's and 70's New York aesthetic. I'm certain there are quite a few films were that doesn't bother me, but with RB its such a slow burn and its so New York that I just get to the point where I don't want to spend another minute there. I understand that I'm completely alone on this opinion.
