Finally, a non-Disney/Pixar animated short film Oscar nominee I've heard of!

Re: Don Hertzfeldt
This is actually the second time he's been nominated, the first of course being for that high-minded, awards-baity thing he did called Rejected.

Re: The Films of 2017
It may have taken me until now to watch it, but World of Tomorrow 2 again demonstrates why Hertzfeldt is one my most cherished directors, period. I still want to rewatch the original again, but as in his brilliant Its Such a Beautiful Day, he manages to make me laugh, digs deep into my philosophical and existentialist side and is brimming with brilliant ideas about our future as humans. This is not saying the first wasn't as good as this but Im again happy to see how Hertzfeldt builds on previous installments (like ISaBD is built of the three Bill chapters).
And again I'm flabbergasted how Hertzfeldt manages to make me care about a badly drawn stick figure so much. This has probably one of the saddest death scenes I've ever seen (and it's of a small insect).

I'm excited for this just for the prospect of more wacky Hertzfeldt update messages.

It's the only crowdfunding campaign where I probably got my moneysworth before I received any of the "perks."colinr0380 wrote: ↑Wed Feb 03, 2021 5:34 pmI'm excited for this just for the prospect of more wacky Hertzfeldt update messages.

The first Kickstarter that Hertzfeldt did was fantastic. I'll set my calendar to remind me as I'm sure the various tiers will sell out fast on day one.

Glad it's so successful. I just did the pledge that gets you a copy of the blu-ray but there's a lot of great perks.

Grabbed the Rejected art print bundle for $100USD. This is insanely successful.

I wonder what it would take to get Ah l'amour and Genre on this release
