That wasn't even the worst cover of the November slate.

Arrow's steelbook of Invasion of the Body Snatchers reminds me of one of those old Hypercolor t-shirts:

I saw this on a shelf and it was so ridiculous I thought it might be a piece of conceptual art:

I actually did not realize this was the film I was looking for on Amazon and kept typing in all manner of permutations of the director's and film's name

Don't know what is worst, the front cover or the horribly photoshopped back cover

Ben Savage...in a role that will surprise him. And require him to stay surprised through the whole picture.

Whoa, she's got one thin leg and one fat leg! No wonder he's surprised!

Because it'd be too much trouble to include the infamous house where this all takes place, so here's a picture of a ship which doesn't appear in the film

That Titanic audience brings in the big bucks.

At least that actually looks like Gene Tierney, so it's got one up on Laura.

Blu-ray cover art hasn't been kind to any of Gene Tierney's iconic films so far. Here's hoping Criterion can break the streak and reissue "Heaven Can Wait" with an excellent new design.

I don't know where to start... the new individual Universal Hitchcock reissues look like cheap public domain bargain bin titles.

Thankfully there's a helpful picture of a rope to clarify the ambiguous title.

There is something very strange going on with James Stewart's eyes in that picture!
Oh, and before I forget I want to say that I think it is wonderful that Angelica Huston has managed to prove she can pull off the seemingly unsuitable role of a hot guitar chick in that Girl Meets Boy film.

I dunno if these have been posted before, but my god... for a film with such stylish titles posters and lobby cards:
What's up with the UK and fucking up this film? I love the tagline on the first one: "A dealer of cards or cocaine?" whereas Sinatra is not a dealer of drugs at any point in this film, and there is not a single mention of cocaine throughout the whole narrative. It's obviously all about opiate dope/H.

Re: Worst DVD Covers...ever! (Part 3-D)
No, just that public domain movies are often given awful covers that are frequently compiled by "artists" who've never even seen the film they're designing for, so it isn't too shocking, though I agree they're fucking awful

Re: Worst DVD Covers...ever! (Part 3-D)
First of all, knowing nothing about this film other than what that poster tells me, I think it's a genius idea to resurrect Lizzie Borden for a horror movie and I can't believe someone in the 80s didn't do it already. However, surely there's got to be a better tagline here. Just off the top of my head:THE AXE IS BACK
"Wait 'til you see what she has done..."
"Meet the original axes of evil!"
"Axe and you shall receive..."
"Get reacquainted with the original axe body spray!"
