That cut sequence is only as bad as everything that actually made it into the movie (see totally unfunny attempt at satirical Shakespeare soliloquy as a good example).

Brian almost word for word has my feelings down about this though I'm standing a bit more on the negative side of things considering how useless it is to make a polemic about Dick Cheney. This doesn't talk about power in the broad and must be looked at as about Cheney alone. Problem being that the liberals who make up the audience already hate Cheney so it feels like a two hour Moore style bore. Carell and Perry though are pretty great though and I'd love to see them do comedy skits together. Going back to the Moore stuff; that is in particular what annoyed me about this film as it shows such a lack of faith in his characters and mis-en-scene for telling the story.
