In the hope that this thread isn't left completely dead by the imdb moderator:

Henri-Georges Clouzot isn't listed as screenwriter on Éducation de prince like he should. Instead it says "R. Clouzot" which is a pure invention by the imdb. I checked the opening of the film and Clouzot is listed with his right name.

I'm not an IMDb official - just a frequent volunteer contributor who now has considerably less time than she used to to spend on that particular hobby. I had offered in this thread to submit missing titles since that's generally where people have the most trouble getting things accepted. As other corrections are much easier for new contributors to submit I'd prefer to start leaving those to the people with first-hand knowledge of the needed corrections.

Russian animator Fyodor Khitruk got a handful of shorts missing on IMDb:
Toptyzhka (Топтыжка), 1964 (in english: Little Stomper)
Kanikuly Bonifatsiya (Каникулы Бонифация), 1965 (in english: Boniface's Holiday)
I'm sure there's more.

The Vietnamese film Dat Kho—Land of Sorrows appears to be missing.

Here's an Amazon.com link to the film.

Also, an alternative title need to be added to Korean director Lee Man-hee's Gwilo (1967). This film has been shown in recent U.S. retrospectives titled as A Road to Return.

A verifying link.

The spelling of Lee Man-hee's name on IMDB is shown as Lee Man-hui. Both are, in a practical sense, correct, but "Lee Man-hee" seems to be the preferred spelling of late.

The two short films Carna (1969) and De Val (1970, The Fall) by dutch director Adriaan Ditvoorst also appear to be missing. Too bad since, in the 60's and 70's, he has been regarded as most promising dutch director by the likes of Pasolini and Bertolucci and these two short films really deserve some more attention.

I used to be a regular contributor about ten years ago (have far less time now). I've just submitted a title correction for the 1975 Australian film The Great MacArthy (NOT spelled "McCarthy" on screen), so let's see what happens.

David Baker's short film Squeaker's Mate (1973) doesn't appear to have an IMDB entry, though it certainly exists - it's an extra on the DVD of The Great MacArthy. I'll see if I can add it in a few days' time.

Mind you, Baker has apparently died (the DVD copyright notice is to his estate) but can anyone give me a death date for him...?

Best I can come up with is a possible year of 2004, based on an inconclusive Google extract of a PDF that costs an exhorbitant price to download. The Google search says it contains
And David baker wanted. everything to be in it, so it’s full .... died in 2004, so there will. be no director’s cut to fix the ..
Make of that what you will. A search on his name and 2004 reveals nothing.

Thanks for that. Presumably there would be obituaries in Australian newspapers at the time? Not that I'm in any position to find out, being in the UK!

Terry Bourke is another Aussie director whose apparent death seems not to be recorded anywhere.

Amusingly, another Google search comes up with
Terry Bourke. An American bounty hunter. investigates why the guests are .... died in 2004, so there will. be no director’s cut to fix the ...
So either Bourke or Baker or someone else entirely died in 2004.

I know that this is not the place to get this done (not a missing entry), but could somebody please tell me where I should adress this?

The IMDb quite catastrophically gives Marcel Carné's date of birth as 1909 while the right year is obviously 1906. This has even lead to dvd releases giving the wrong date as IMDb after all is a principal reference. I am precently in contact with the founder of the wonderful http://www.marcel-carne.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; site who is very upset about this, and has even taken the pains to post a picture of Carné's gravestone to make this clear once and for all. He has been trying to get this through for three years already on the IMDb and hopes that this could be a way of getting there. It's all the more important to have this changed as many people will be expecting a 100 year anniversary for Carné in a month from today.

I have updated this on the imdb website and it should be amended in 2-4 weeks. Assuming they accept my update but as I quoted the marcel-carne website that should be authoritative enough for them.
Looking again through that site I almost wish 1909 was the correct date because that beloved marketing tool, the centenary, might just have spurred Criterion or MoC /Studio Canal to issue a bumper package including the multitude of supplements available.

Coincidentally I wrote to Mulvaney a few days back asking what plans they had for Carne but have yet to hear anything and will of course post any comments received.
Dishearteningly on another thread Herr Schreck mentioned re Carne that Quai des Brumes seems gone for good from Criterion ranks.

Thanks a lot for the help Nabob. I actually also discussed the possibility for a faux centenary with the monsieur behind the site when writing the post, but we thought that truth had to come first after all. BTW he has information from a reliable source about a French dvd of Les Visiteur du soir coming out probably next year.

Here is a better picture of Carné's tombstone with the dates 1906-1996.
